Best time to call the ‘hop’?

I was inquiring if anyone calls ‘hopping’ bets on a regular basis? I used to use a system that relied heavily of a 3-way hopping SEVEN, over the 4 to1 prop wager on the SEVEN. Now days I call a 2-way hopping FIVE on the come-out on a regular basis.

Hardways

When I began playing craps, I always knew that hardways had a high house advantage, so I avoided them except when I was up a lot and the table was hot.

Then I started to bet the point hard if it was set hard. For example, if the eight was set with a four-four on the come out, I would bet a $5 hard eight or $5 hardways, one each, high on the eight.

Lately I have decided to hop the hardways one each on the come out roll after a front line winner (a made point or a 7 or 11 on the comeout). If I win, I take “$31 and down” and put $5 on each of the hardways, taking $7 Profit. That also allows me to have a progression that—if a hardways hit - I add $5 to each hardway and put the profit in my rack.

Any thoughts on this strategy.

Laying the Fire Bet number

If I have $5 or $10 on the fire bet and the 4th point is established….. If it hits I’m guaranteed either $200 or $400。 however，if it doesn’t hit I win nothing on the bet.

So what about the Lay bet on the 4th point? Perhaps for 1/3rd to half of the amount of the guaranteed fire payout. This way I’m guaranteed payout regardless if the fire number is hit. It just needs to be established.

If it hits…. I lose the Lay but win the fire. Then the same for the 5th point and 6th point if the opportunity comes around.

I did this 3 times last week and won the Lay each time n the Fire did not hit but I won the lay.

Anyone else Lay the fire number?

Perceptions of Fire Bet Frequency

As a spin-off of another thread, I’m interested in how often people perceive the Fire Bet to win.

Putting actual statistics aside... in your opinion, how often do you perceive the Fire Bet to hit for 4/5/6 numbers per # of shooters, hour, visit, week, or month?

Hardways betting strategy

I’ve decided to start betting hardways, but bet it with a strategy.

I use the hardway set exclusively and as a result I hit a LOT of them. Many back to back. (not 1-2 roll but hard….few rolls….then hard again)

I’ve sat back during my throw and watched players make a fortune of my hardways.

So I’d like to hear your betting strategies for betting the hardways.

What I’ve seen is that they will throw $20 into the center and have $5 on each.

(9-1 payout)
Hit once it pays $45. They take $25 and press $20.
Hit twice it pays $180 and they pick it up.

Hit once and leave it all
Hit twice and it pays $405.

I looked at my practice sheet and a just about every 3rd or 4th roll, I hit a consecutive hardway.

Thoughts?

I have heard lot of praise for few bets that include Fire Bets. Can someone please provide details on the same?

Leaving place bets on the come out

If the shooter is NOT a controlled shooter, what are your thoughts on leaving place bets on the come out? I’m thinking it’s a roll like no other (unless, again, the shooter is controlled and setting the dice for ALL SEVENS) thus you should leave them on. Psychologically, it’s brutal to lose all that money when everyone else is happy on the 7!

Part b of the question: If I leave them ‘on’, and the shooter rolls one of my numbers, do I get paid just the same as before? I ask because on this one simulator I’m practicing with…..even though he asks me if I want to leave them working, when my number hits he’s pulling the money down. It happens so fast I can’t really tell what he’s paying me (my guess is he’s just giving me my odds back).

The only sidebets I really play are 8 and 9. I believe they have the highest probability of being rolled next to a 7. Every now and then, I’ll bet on the hard numbers of the point. So if the point is 6… I’ll bet on the hard six the entire time because there is a 1 and 3 chance that the next 6 rolled will be the hard 6. (combos of 5,1 4,2 and 3,3).

Has anyone played this? I seen it today for the first time but did not play. It is like a fire bet with a few exceptions what I liked was that you could hit any point it maxs out at 10 conseccutive points but unlike the fire bet where you must hit every number with this it could be the same number or any combo of points up to the max the pay out is 299 to 1 for 10 numbers .
