I'll be arriving in Mesquite and playing at Eureka on the 10th of Aug, then head to Vegas for the 11th, 12th and maybe the 13th. My plan is to play at Harrahs, as I usually do well there, and I will have a few sessions downtown as well. I also plan to check out the Flamigo, Cromwell and I'm sure a few others. Anybody have any suggestions of casinos that have had a good vibe recently? I'll also play a session at Palace Station, even though I don't usually do well there, I like the place and don't mind supporting them.

While you're out that way (Mesquite), consider driving up to Zion and/or Bryce National Park. Yeah, it'll probably be really hot but there are some amazing hikes and scenery.

I've had a few decent rolls over the years late at night at Flamingo. I also like the tables at The Cosmopolitan - can't beat the eye candy there. Have a good time.

I live 5 minutes to the entrance to Arches and 30 minutes from Canyonlands. I've been to Bryce, Zion and Capitol Reef plenty of times. While I do love them and the scenery, I actually have some business to attend to at a trade show in Vegas on Sunday and Monday, so I won't really have the time for that adventure.

Good to know that Utah finally has some casinos, very tricky though, to name them after National Parks, like that.. None of us blame you for skipping the the trade show adventure, in lieu of, taking care of some serious "business". :)

Another of your lame, ignorant attempts at humor. Sickening.

Nice. Well, nice @9 months out of the year, lol. We stopped by Bryce & Zion again in 2016, but this time in November instead of July. No crowds! No mandatory shuttles.

Two of my favorites. Zion especially....but the crowds have gotten ridiculous.

    Arches NP is also stunning.

I have plans for Monument Valley, UT....but it’s a good drive from Vegas. See the Forest Gump highway...LOL.

I’m not sure what has happened but a lot of the national parks out west are getting HUGE visitor counts. Over run.

Death Valley in the summer also gets a lot of European tourists. They love to experience the intense heat.

Just a word of warning. With the information that you provided, FredP will be able to triangulate the exact location of your house, and using Google, and public records, might just, post a nude photo of you on this forum.

The reason National Parks are getting huge visitor counts, is because because so many people are going to them.
When I went to Death Valley, I didn't enjoy the intense heat, but I just loved the intense dryness of the place. It was just like being in the middle of the desert.

I believe the membership is low enough, no reason to run off any more.

The trick is to not go to them during the peak seasons. Moab is crazy from March 15 to July 4th, then it mellows out until Labor Day as it's too hot for Americans. Labor Day to mid October are over run, then it's fantastic until the middle of November.

Nah! They go hoping to see a national guard engineer unit on summer camp building a pontoon bridge.

My bil worked for dod now homeland security and got so many perks with his rv and admission prices all over with govt run parks or facilities
    Even got me discounts

I'd love after this knee replacement to go out west and hike out in the desert in Utah and Nevada in the parks

Tomorrow night at this time I'll be at Eureka or Virgin River in Mesquite. I'll post how it goes in the next couple days. Sunday I'll be in Vegas and post about that also.

When are you having this surgery Liman? Mine went well and resulted in a lot less pain and good mobility. It will probably do you a lot of good..
