I will slow this down for you....I understand your being a dickhead...but I will
still give you the respect you dont give anyone else.

He is MORE serious about craps than I am at this time....I dont put craps first as
far as my activities as much as I used... I would rather go fishing with the kids or
    grandkids...….

Our play away from home is similar... when I am home I would rather do other things
The game is serious enough to him to invest $6000-$9000 per week, I wont do that.

So yes right now he is more serious about craps than I am...…….and vastly more
serious about craps than you are....

While has not taken any class, yet he tries to shoot from the same spot, has learned to land the
dice in the same spot and has leaned to bet his shot, and he takes the so seriously he is actually willing
    to be more than $1.

TDV your problem is your not serious about anything.

Well YOU ARE WRONG , a player is serious when he
walks up to the table , "EXPECTING TO WIN" all others are
merely hoping fortune will smile on them.

    von duck,

Just why do you downplay the one thing that enables a DI to WIN $$$ @ a CASINO???

Extremely difficult to accomplish? Tell that to a woman who handled dice at a craps table exactly one time before she tossed them 154 times in a row before a hand-ending seven.

Not everyone on the face of the earth plays craps. The great majority of people who play craps, and probably every person who does not play, believe there is no controlling dice outcomes. Random is the word. We are taught this in the fifth grade. I still believe this In spite of what Dom might tell us

With this accepted belief about dice, the obvious question that should be asked of a DI is - What is the purpose of spending significant hours practicing a random activity?

To each his own. If you want to practice, practice.

If we are honest about our experiences tossing dice, we will acknowledge great, good, not so good and terrible experiences.

This is as it should be and as expected. Why? Because we don't know what will happen with the dice until they stop moving.

You said he plays a random game. A random player whose game is more serious than you? Ok, great. A fellow serious player like me....and both of us "much more serious" than you. Ok. No argument.
"investing 6,000-$9,000 per week" in a random game as a random player....investing? That's gambling, not investing.
So, he's a random player....but he's a much more serious player than you....right now. It's rather odd because you were previously defining serious as someone who invests time and energy in practice, home table and lessons....but now you are tying serious to essentially mean gambling $6,000-$9,000 as a random player.
You called him random. So, a random player is serious. No argument. He's like me. Maybe just not as good looking?
Oh...now I see, he's serious....but he's just not nearly as good as you. Understood. Glad you cleared that up.

If you decide to get serious again, you'll pass him by on the serious scale? Is that how it works? Or do his betting levels always make him more serious than you?

    A real conundrum.

How many "DIs" do you know? Why would you risk in one hand, the money it took you 4 winners to acquire. In reality, pressing alone, changes nothing, in terms of your chances of winning.

We got another entire thread screwed up by TDV...what else is new....the very
idea that anyone could be more serious about craps than he is cant be tolerated.

    Now think about ego...here

he is as serious as anyone in the country about craps
his results as a good as Dom or Frank or Rick or Jerry

Look at the multitude of posts the guy has had on here pissing and
moaning about where your live...you cant be a good player to take the game
    serious where you live!!!!!!

    Mind numbing egotistical TDV

    von duck,

I know the one I most care about, DUH...

P.S. If one pressed those 4 Winners on one # they would have a 7 Fold PROFIT, not difficult to take!!!

Also, think about it, it does enhance ones chances of winning & is the best way to ""Play on the CASINO'S $$$!!!

And it happens frequently, assuming you are capable, which unfortunately you do not seem to be!!!

My guess would be, that I am as "capable" as you are. There is no such thing as "playing on the casinos money". If you are making bets with it, it's YOUR" money. If it's money you won, then let's be honest, its money you previously lost, and now you've won part of it back. Go ahead lose it back again, the faster the better, no sense being burdened with a bunch of money.

    von duck & ALL

Do not anticipate winning on your every throw!!!

Look back; you made $$$ on those LONG ROLLS that occur at times!

Only by PRESSING, (not necessarily a full press) will anyone assure that they are hitting those LONG WINNING ROLLS!!!

Yes, that's how one beats the CASINO @ the game of CRAPS!!!

that is a real question is it not...….when do you take your profits???

if you take them on roll 18 and the roll continues to 35 ???? you just gave the casino
lots of money.....if you say well I will push until roll 30 and you throw the 7 at roll 26, you
just gave the casino lots of money.

If you start big, there are times you will win big, but you will lose big, if you start small
and press slowly, it takes a real long roll to make anything.

That is why I like the ATS bet, I can win a decent amount without a large bet.

If you press your bets there's never a bad time to take profits in my opinion. If you've pressed much you're probably betting above your bankroll.

I quit in the middle of my roll last night when I made the third point. Colored in and left the come bet flats for the dealers. The table had went from 2 players to full, the wife was ready to go and I had a significant amount of money on the layout were a few of the reasons to pull the plug. Most of the time I would have just regressed and started my press schedule over but I was ready to leave too. craps 001.JPG

Yeah, hitting the ATS has about the same odds, or maybe a little better, than a long roll, so I got no problem with your strategy. Also takes the frustration out of guessing, especially, guessing wrong. Always look for the full pay 35/175/35. I don't play this bet, but, I still enjoy the excitement it brings to the table. "Party on Dude" :D you brought up an interesting point, so I'm going to pencil-whip the cumulative odds for hitting say 3 points with no seven come out.

Sweet Roll & with 8 ~ 8's, pressing that would yield a MONSTER PAYOUT, with a Profit of 7 times your initial bet @ 4 hits, then partial pressing, for much more, WOWIE!!!
