Originally he had just been playing don't with 2x odds only. I think he got bored and wanted more action. I see a lot of people start out playing very smart and then it eventually morphs into a bad betting strategy. I cite boredom in waiting for point or seven out as the cause.

Sancho...on the come out roll he had $25 on the don't. If the point was 4/10, he put $50 on don't odds.

I'm not a fan of hedging.

Let me give you a real world situation to hedge. Whether you do it or not is your call.

I enter Bally's and collect my $10 FB coupon heading to an almost empty table. A shooter’s in process with a sort of suit on, but he doesn't seem to have complete control over the situation. I get a low vibrational feeling so I go negative with a $10 don’t come with $30 lay. It travels to the 9 and I win; he 7evens out - now my roll.
I'm a do player, like you 'cause you win more, but I can feel the energy current still going against me. So I shoot from the don’ts since there’s no reason to believe anything has shifted yet simply because I showed up. My purpose here is to shift the energy momentum, and nothing screws up the energy flow than shooting from the don'ts.

I shoot a point 5. So along with my $10 DP, I place the 5 for $10. I make no other bets until I see what ensues. Next roll I hit the 5 and collect $4 profit. Now I'm on my way.

That’s the evidence I needed. The table has shifted and I proceed to shoot exclusively via the PL setting up the inside numbers with the minimum and expanding with house money. Once my net is laid I take advantage of the positive momentum and its press/collect time riding that wave as far as it will take me. I proceed to hit 4 more points with a sweet long roll including the dealers on every number.

The only thing that could kill the it was a woman who floated in off the boardwalk and put $1 on all the hardways, repeating
"Come-on baby, give me a hard one"

Yup, it happens...the b'... killed my vibe!

What happens when you make a place bet on a point and you're betting the dont? Do you put it on the pass line or?????

Correct me if im wrong comeback, but with that strategy you would only lose money if you threw a 7 or 11 on the comeout right? Cus youd break even with a seven-out, and $4 profit with the 7:5 palced correct?

In all casinos you can hand your bet to the dealer with instructions to place the point. In many casinos you can put your chips on the actual line between you and the Pass Line area. This is called a Line Place and acts just like a Place bet. Be sure the chips are on the actual line, though; if they are completely in the Pass Line area you will only be paid even money.
This is correct. The general term for such a strategy is Can't Lose because once your Don't bet goes to a point you can't lose. The catch of course is getting behind a point.

Went and shot the last 2 nights at Diamond Jo in Dubuque. First night i walked away $52 ahead, last night around $20.

The first night it was busier for a thursday, 1 table open with about 6 players. Anyways I recognize this one old fart regular who hates my guts and stand next to him. I was playing the dark side most of the night, but kinda bounced around a bit. The old guy was making fun of me for "shooting from the dont with a nickel". He kept scoffing that I was playing the dont with $5, I didnt really understand what his deal was. Anyways I was hedging my bets like above, and people were giving me goofy looks haha. I really like when I'm on the dont and a 5 or 9 is the point and betting this way, either break even or win $2, cant really complain there.I hit 4 points playing the pass, sevend out right away the second time I rolled, then hit 3 points the third time. Grumpy old guy was hemorrhaging cash. He'd lose it all, yell an obscenity, then go to the ATM and come back ahahahaha. This guy has given me crap for the way I play in the past, I just told him when I want someone to tell me how to spend my money I'll ask.....

The second night I started off poorly. I bought in at a crowded table after some yo yo wigga went on a 30 minute roll and made a bundle for everyone. I'd say he was probably up about $500+. I dont really feel bad for calling him a derogatory name on here because he would play the dont when he wasnt rolling, and proceed to tell people he liked when they rolled after they sevend out. Talk about manners...... So I grinded at this table for around 2 hours, then jumped to the other table with all of 3 players. Table was choppy, but it was one of the first times i bet for the crew on a hardway and it hit so that was cool, and they were happy. I grinded for about 2 more hours and hit 3 points at the end to put me up $20 and called it a night. By that time it was around 2 am. Yo-yo lost all his money too, I hate to say it but I was kinda happy.

As an aside, I wanted to say this about diamond jo casino. I really like the pit bosses, theyre a hoot, but I have never met more rude player not only to the dealers, but other players as well. Must be an Iowa thing.....

there are so many people who are sore losers.
they blame everyone and everything for their losses.
I get a kick out of them.
when one of them has some stupid remark, I usually smile at them,it seems to bother them more.
Once in a blue moon, some moron at a table will call you names because you lost him money.
You have to have pity for them. They are just so lost. They have no life.

That happened to me for the first time in awhile at mountaineer in West By God a couple of weeks ago: some cranky old hilljack literally told me, under his breath, to not roll the dice again. My first roll of the night ( 4 rolls 7 out ). I shot him a glance, then ignored him. Dice went around to him and he passed. I get the dice, have my best roll of the night - 35 rolls, 3 points. After 7 the table claps, including him. I hope he choked on his dog meat back at his hovel.
