I read a lot of info on the casinos down there, and Ive read separate gaming areas, but are there any casinos 100% smoke free there?
Nope! Not that I know of. In terms of Craps......Stay away from the Horsehoe UNLESS ya don't mind standing at a table that's only getting 25 rolls per hour. Prop Bets, Prop bets, & MORE prop bets that brings the game to a absolute stand still. If ya want a nice "Suite" visit Road HOUSE Casino. They even have Pool tables in the Suites. A VERY nice set up!
as much as I love Nevada, me and my wife are rethinking trips out there. last trip, don't know how everyone in Henderson is not dying from second hand smoke if they spend time in the casinos. We had to avoid the casinos at crowded times which meant going up to our room early each night so we could breath. never bothered us much in our younger days, now it tortures us.
Now, you know what I deal with just about every day. They have laws where you can't smoke in a park in different states but here the casinos can get away with anything!
from what I observe not only in Nevada, but casinos anywhere is that most of the smokers are the chain type, one after another, and it seems the slot areas are by far the worse. compulsive behavior at its finest. the thing is, most are over 50, modern meds are wonderful, 40 years ago most of them would have been long gone, but I think once this generation dies off, casinos will be way less smoky. its a guess, but out of all my childrens friends, my nieces, my nephews, all of their friends, maybe one or two out of hundred smoke. besides being whats considered nasty, its expensive also. smoke is the one thing that kills our enjoyment every single time we hit a smoke filled casino.
Liman, we got one smoke free casino in Biloxi, The New Palace. But for some reason most casinos don't bother me, hard to smoke and play craps at the same time.
Have been around plenty who have smoking and playing craps down pat especially the cigar smokers bother me
25 years ago, even 15 years ago, the smoke didn't bother us. nowadays it seems cigarettes are made differently, or filtered differently, some have smoke that is just irritating, combined with all the areas in a smoke filled casino cant escape the smoke(restaurants), and then add in we might be spending hours at a time in a casino, all of it makes the smoke just a lot more intolerable. in the long run, maybe it isn't such a bad thing, we spend less and less time in smoky casinos and more time outside of them.
I'm thinking Harrah's is now smoke-free. . yeah their pretty bad, but there was this guy at the OTB in Ca, a pipe smoker, and I swear, I think he was smokin, dried dog shit in his pipe, absolutely styfling.
