That's the current rage in right side place betting. What is it? When you press you add some of your money to the full press.

Let me give you an example that I learned from Heavy and the " Dice School Guys. Take an $18 6 or 8.
Hits and ad $3 of your money and press both to $30 or the one that hit to $42. LOVE IT!
Small br. and play big $6 to $90 in 3 hits- how about that? First hit add $5 go to $18.Next hit add $3 to $42 then to $90. Time for you heroes to step it up. Lol

Let me give you one of my plays $18 6&8. First hit regress to $12 6&8. Next hit same bet. Next hit go to $30 ( give $4) on # that hit.

I have never power pressed in my life. Taking a winning bet and turning it into a losing bet by leaving all the money on the layout plus giving the dealer more money has never made sense to me.

Even though I'm a firm believer that every roll in craps is an independent event, rolling a box number multiple times before a seven is not easy, DI or no DI.

The videos never show you the times that they power pressed a box number hit and the next roll was mister nasty. Or worse yet a hand long enough where they should of won money but didn't because they left it all on the layout.

I learned my version of the "power-press" from my pawn broker. :)

Nor have I ever pressed powerfully. Having recently modified my front-side strategy to alternating taking and pressing, thereby guaranteeing a profit for the series after only a single hit, however, I can see where I might contemplate a power press at some point to go for the gusto.

As I am not a place bettor, this is not advice from experience.

I like the $18 to $30 you propose, but would not recommend it until you first collect $21, assuming you do get one hit.

Yes I understand it now takes 3 hits before you collect your $35, but, if you get that one hit, the worst thing that will happen is that you will win $3, which by the way is 4% of $75. ;)

    Here's my take on powerpress.
Cost you 2$ instead of 3. And almost pays your investment.

    18-24-54-30.

    Powerpress&regress combined.
Gets you a black chip in 3 hits.
Leaves you with 30 on the box to keep going.

    This is Barney

The LID use to be world class power presser. However, after his hernias he had to stop such behaviors.

Actually learned about power pressing from John Patrick. You have regressed down to a $6 6&8. Next hit add $5 and bring both bets up to $12.
Time for some of you heroes to get into the 21 at century.

I have a friend that plays craps quite a bit, most times twice a week and takes maybe 5-6 trips a year.

We started playing over 40 years together. He is careful with his money, but understands most years he is
going to lose $30,000- $40,000 and he is ok with that, he has earned the money and that's how he
    wants to spend it.

His play is and has been to bet one unit inside and drop the $5 on the first hit and press the 6 & 8. He used
to buy in for $500 and when he lost $300-$350 he would leave, play the slots and then buy back in for
another $500. Any decent money he won was on the fire bet and he did get in on a number of those.

His play today is 1 unit inside drop $5 and press the 6 & 8, but when he loses $150 he is gone.

The moral of the story is betting more only makes sense when there is a reason to bet more.

Heroes is a term directed at the strictly math players who now at the altar of lowest H.A. who do not recognize trends and above all are hypercrits who preach every roll is an independent event- but would never enter a game on an ice cold table where 4 shooters in a row had short rolls if they were betting right.

Can we say loser- at least the math tells him that LOL

Holy shit. 30-40K is a hell of a lot of $$ to be dropping at the casino.

Before localized gambling, I used to play once a year, and lost everything I took to play with on more occasions than I care to admit, but that would only add up a couple of K per worst years.

I agree. It is crazy to buy in for and to wager with mega bucks. $300 is enough for me. I could see $500-1000 buy-in but rarely exceed $500 myself.

It's a no-brainer re when to bet more -- when you are winning.

I thought I should include myself amongst the heroes, and now will.

Dave, don't forget that our lowest HA bets can be played from either direction, so that a smart hero will go the other way when the right way isn't working so well.

He doesn’t, too busy posting, catching up with TD and AssHall. If he was serious about craps, he wouldn’t concentrate his trolling here, he would be on di centric boards learning to win, assuming talent.
