Anyone have a LOC? I was wondering what the plus and minus is of having one. Any hidden fees etc...... I got a upcoming Vegas trip in May and I am plan to hit them hard again. I just do not want to have to deal with walking around with so much cash.

    I have several.

It is definately a good idea, imho.

I suggest you establish one in a local casino and use it. Then, when you go to Vegas, AC, wherever....they will see you went thru the credit check once OK and took out markers and paid them on time and it should make the process for establishing additional lines easier.

I really don't see a downside to doing it.

Awesome I am thinking of setting one up in a harrahs property so that covers most of the casinos in Vegas..... ;)

Check into that - I am not sure they are always trasferrable or accessible from one casino to the next. I may be wrong.

As said, there is no downside...no hidden fees, etc. Just make sure you take a few bucks to the table with you. It takes a couple of minutes to process the marker. I like to have some cash at the table so I can buy in and play while they do the paper work. I rememeber one time, I did not do this and stood at a craps table for 20 minutes at the Tropicana in Atlantic City watching roll after roll. I would have been making a lot of money. (Of course, if there were a bunch of seven outs i would have been happy with the delay) But it really pissed me off. When I signed for the marker, I immediately walked away with the chips, cashed them in and went to another casino to play. I loved getting the free two week loan from the Trop to cover my play elsewhere....just a little satisfaction.

I have them at a couple of AC properties as well as Planet Hollywood and Bellagio. In fact, you remind me - I have not been out there is a couple of years so I better check in to make sure they are still active.

that would suck if they were not transferable because thats half the reason I am doing this. I just want a 50k credit line and hopefully I will not have to dip into the pocket much but I usually carry around 5k around the casinos at a minimum.

Ok just off the phone with Bally's and lines of credits are good only at the house it is setup at and not transferable to different casinos even though they are all Harrah's properties. This changes a few plans so now I must get LOC all over town.

I have established credit lines at 2 local casinos. I basically just get a marker if I'm in a financial bind of some sort and hardly use them for gambling. There's really no downside.

damn they let you borrow the money and take it out of the casino? I was told at Bally's it could be used for gambling only and i sign my chips out and then sign them back in via a sig with the pit boss.

Last time I checked you had to have individual lines of credit at Harrah's owned properties. Boyd is more progressive. If you have credit at Boyd you have it at all of their Vegas properties. However, that does not extend to casinos in the rest of the world. Example, I have a credit line at Boyds properties in Vegas, but not at the Sam's Town located about an hour and a half from my house in east Texas.

So, that would put Shreveport/Bossier about midways between us. Maybe we should hook up there sometime.

SC - it's 98 miles from my driveway to Bossier City. Don't get over there as often as I used to, so hook-ups are very few and far between.

I worked in Bossier for a couple of years and played almost daily - early in the mornings and/or at midday - short hit-and-run sessions. It was a good time.

For what it's worth, I'm doing a seminar up in Tunica next month - the weekend of August 17th. Anyone interested can read about it over on my Axis Power Craps forum.
