me and wife had nothing to do and actually booked 2 comped rooms in Caesar's ac but decided we didn't want to drive down today in rain so headed to big a for some action
The 3 bubbles I play on we're all empty
I won 82 dollars and found my wife
It was me and her and every other patron was Asian
Even the vending machines cater to Asians
The guy who came over had a stack of 100's had to be at least 20 grand
He would put 300 into each of two machines playing sicbo and pull out a ticket every other roll then reload the cash in
Strange some things I just notice

A funny thing I noticed recently. Every time I go into a Chinese take out shop, I never see any Chinese customers. Only the staff are Chinese.
I'm talking about local neighbourhood shops not shops in a place like Chinatown. If you don't understand me, switch 'shop' for 'store'.

In another interesting turn of events, it appears to me that a hell of a lot of Thai massage places have popped up in mine and surrounding neighbourhoods. One in particular I passed by just after it had opened had a sign posted on the front door stating "no sexual services". I thought what have we come to in this world.

Some months later I was again walking by and noticed that the sign had been removed. Did this mean that such services were now on the table? I was totally confused. Some months afterwards the joint had closed down.

You never see any stray cats or dogs around Chinese shops either;) Another interesting thing at least here in the states is many of them ring up 0.00 on the register if they see you have cash in your hand.

night attack, not sure if you are mocking me or not, but to respond to never see Chinese in takeout, ofcourse not.

takeout Chinese food might be an insult to Chinese people, they pass that slop off to everyone else, Chinese people are too smart to eat in those places.

one of my closest friends is Italian. they never go out to eat with us when we go to an Italian restaurant, they laugh at us. they wont eat authentic Italian food in a NY restaurant

I booked foxwoods for Monday and Tuesday the 9th and 10th.
They wouldn't comp the suite, gave us a casino rate.(bastards), but cheap enough.
Only way we wont go if the fucking hospital makes me attend a class for joint replacement.Yes, its mandatory, and I don't know what day it will be.

No not mocking you at all. Just an observation. I have been told previously by a Chinese friend of mine, that they cater for the ''gweillo' market and would typically have a different menu or a variation of it at least for Chinese people.

I believe the big A is one of the only casinos in America that caters to the Asians, and is very successful at it.
I don't know numbers, but I still think resorts in queens(big A casino) makes enough to keep them high on the list of highly profitable casinos, and they don't have any live table games. and minimums are still 10-15 dollars at electronic games.

when the NYS government gets their heads out of their asses and lets them become a full casino with table games, it will be near impossible to get into the place anymore.
Imagine, only one casino surrounded by 10-15 million people within 30 minutes of them.
It now has a new subway station with walkway right into casino.

They tried it out here with the Lucky Dragon. Failed badly. Everything was geared toward Asian market.

Quickest Las Vegas casino failure I have ever seen.

Im guessing out in Nevada, the bulk of the Asian population they cater to is from out of town, or out of country.
In queens, Chinese population is buying up real estate regardless of price.
I personally sold 2 pieces of real estate to Chinese buyers and my ex partner also sold some of his real estate holdings, all in queens, to Chinese buyers.
Northern queens, most business along northern blvd only seem to advertise to Asian patrons.
Don't know where they make their money, but I do know when my ex partner sold one of his 6 family buildings in queens, a Chinese man actually came to him with a shopping bag filled with cash for down payment. No negotiation.
The Asian business people Ive dealt with for 35 years, were all keen businessmen, smart, hard working, spoke several languages, and knew how to make money.
No wonder some casino corps target their business

It's probably a balance that a casino needs to find to cater to certain groups. If it tilts too much...you turn off other people. Lucky Dragon thought they were going to entice every Asian gambler here and overseas. I assume there were not enough locals going. Their comp plan was ridiculed early on as being stingy. Casino location sucked as well. Tight parking, no craps.

It was one and done for me. After one visit....I knew I wouldn't be back. Many others did the same.

I'm not even sure what's going on with the building. Someone bought it for pennies on the dollar. Casino is gone. I don't know if they kept the hotel open (why would they?). Someone mentioned turning it all into convention space.

resorts at aqueduct, the comps are near zilch. the first few years when me and my wife were going at least once a week, besides the birthday 10 dollar free slot play, comps were garbage.and resorts up in the catskills, wants nothing to do with us, a reason we haven't gone back much.

This is the new "casino experience" reality Liman. Unless you're pissing away fistfuls of money, or, you look like you might eat with chopsticks, you ain't gettin shit. Try an Asian disguise, and learn to fake an Asian accent. Like if your point is 5, yell, come on FY, as you release the dice.
