Wednesday night in Green Bay Dave and I played for a time and did ok.
I noticed that on the ATS bet we had gone 3-4 rounds at the table and not a single player had made either side of the that bet. No one could hit the 12 at all and never a 2 at the right time.

At 7 pm they changed the dice and from 7-8 we hit the bet 3 times and there were a number of 2 and 12's Prior to changing the dice the primary numbers were 5 & 9 and after the dice change they were 6 & 8 and a good number of 4's.

Sometimes we wonder why shit happens, sometimes, not always the
    dice make a big difference.

I NEVER want to be at a table long enough to worry about the dice. Sounds like you guys played for AT LEAST an hour. I could NEVER last THAT long UNLESS I'm tossing a "Jam up" Monster hand.
You play, & stay at a table as YOU see fit, but experience, & at- home practice has taught ME ( for my playing style) to ......Toss, collect, & Leave ( or end the SESSION).

But, but, but, Top....why All the practice, only to toss a hand or two & quit? You will learn, my Son......one day it will ALL register!!!

Wednesday night I was playing at 2 different tables and nobody could sustain a really good roll. The other tables: a 6 point Fire Bet, a 5 point Fire Bet, the All All (2x). Finally, the one time I didn't bet the ATS, the woman next to me hits the All All. Go figure.

Assume you were playing at Oneida Casino (airport)? The ATS is a weird one. There are times where a 2 & 12 won't appear for a long time, and then one or the other will hit 3x in @10 rolls. That can be so frustrating. Glad the ATS eventually hit a few times for you.

Charting was a real eye opener for me. I have seen the 2 or 12 go over 250 rolls with out hitting once and then hit as any as 6 times in the next 48 rolls.

What really sucks is when the 2 or 12 hits on the come out roll and then is immediately followed by a 7. Wipes out the 2 or 12 and takes down the ATS bets. Such a waste.

It does make you wonder about quality control sometimes. As I have previously noted here, I have seen two crapless tables close recently, with both lasting about 6 months, because according to my insider friends they were dumping too much money and hurting the casino so both went back to regular craps. Seems very strange considering the tremendous house edge they have at the crapless tables. Maybe Eagleyes has something significant to say about this phenomena.

Reaching probably is the correct word, in this case.

    TDB,

Would you have any idea why the DICE may have made a difference?

    so many stupid observations,

I was playing recently with my buddy and it was early. 9 am, onlyl a few at table.
across on the other end of table was a 30 something y/o male with his female companion. She wasn't much to look at, but had an incredibly smoking hot body, skinny flat waste, huge melons. She was wearing a very revealing top, and when she took the dice, every time she bent down to get the dice, me and my buddy whispered to me, ok, 5 bucks they fall out this time, 3 bucks if only one falls out.
I then said to him, if they both fall out together, Im betting 25 bucks on the 2. sure enough the dealer pushes the dice short, you know he did that on purpose, she bends all the way over, out they pop, she stuffed them back in just as casual as Id pick up a dollar chip I dropped by mistake, like it was nothing, shes used to them popping out, and I threw my greenie right on double aces.
it didn't come in next roll.
1 roll later, 3 2's in a row. I rushed my green too soon, I should have waited till she threw the dice then bet the next roll.

nothing else popped out. she left, so did we, the table got boring

    This is Barney,

That most youngest lady you were oogling at sounds like it may have been my younger sister Tasha. She hangs around casinos and likes to mess around, so if you played your cards right you would have gotten lucky...

    Thank you very much

in the early 60s, my brother and his friends let me watch bride of Frankenstein, and I had nightmares for weeks.

something about the picture above, its disturbing, could give me nightmares all over again.

Its hard to say why all know for sure is there are
    differences.
I have lots of dice on my table and I have found differences
in out comes with those. I have also found some dice are
more difficult to use such as some places had those frosted
dice. Three , four years ago I first noticed them at Harrah's in Laughlin
and I could not use the GTC shot because I had to grip them
to hard. I think several places down town in vegas all put them in
    at about the same time.

I see it often, some sets of dice give you mostly 1/6 6/1 for
the seven and lots of craps numbers, some give you lots of
    6 & 8's and more hard 6 & 8's.

I am not a four hour craps player, but most times for me it is rare
that I see a set of dice where there is an even distribution of the
3/4 5/2 or 6/1 sevens,,,most times the dice favor one or the other.

Pull a coin out of your pocket, flip it 20 times, see how many times you get 10 heads and 10 tails. One side or the other, will usually come out ahead. That's "deviation".

If you think the normal deviation explains all that happens on
a craps table you have a right to think that.

Since you provided no evidence i.e. Substantially skewed numbers, I felt that there was no reason to "think" otherwise, in this case. All you said was, the distribution wasn't even, give me/us more "food for thought", believe me WE'RE STARVING. :)

You have right to think what you want as I said...
I based my opinion on what I see, not what you think.
