Are there any "face-to-face" Craps, clubs, groups, teams, or crews, etc...(For practice, education, training, and for going to Casinos as a crew or team, NOT for illegal gambling!) that I could hook up with in my area?

Mid-Hudson Valley means along the Hudson River - 100 miles North of New York City 60 miles South of Albany.

Is that real or is that just Urban Legend and TV hype?

I replied over on Wizard of Vegas forum.
They, fortunately, do not believe in DI.
Visit Axis Power Craps site, for a more informative forum.

We had a 4 man team in Wisconsin, But we found out
    it has some draw backs.

First not all the wives got along
Second....it was hard to get a place on most
tables where everyone would have a their best
    shot positions
third... not everyone agreed on a start and finish time
    (or win lose amount)

Generally I have found when I go play with the (boys)
I am going to lose. If your losing you tend to lose more
and if you win right away on one guys good roll, everyone
else wants a few shots and pretty soon your win is gone
    and your chasing a loss.

Craps is a fun game, but most times the fun of it gets in
the way of the beating the game.

I hear you... I guess I was looking more towards training, education, and socializing...and of course it's not illegal to have a "private" garage or basement craps game among friends... :)

Excellent thoughts from 2DB. Better to learn by yourself as much as possible, pick up ideas at a Heavy conference, that includes Howard R&R'er, then become a lone wolf. Wolf packs starve in the world of DI.

That is so, so, true! I have NEVER played on a team, & never even had ONE craps shooting partner!

Don't give a shit how pretty someone else's toss is SAID TO BE, & have been extended MANY invitations to practice, Play with other Di's.

I am a very sociable person, but when it comes to gambling, I have ALWAYS taken the "Lone Wolf" route. The ONLY exception is when I hustled pool on the road with my "Gun Toting" Stakehorse!

When shooting craps, I don't want to Split any profits with a partner/s, listen to a partner/s tell me how my toss was "For Shit" ( during those losing sessions), or be at the mercy of a partner's time constraints!

Crews, teams, partner's......... NOT for Old Top! Continued success at the tables, & AS ALWAYS.......... I'll see you at The Top!

I have never played on a craps team. I guess there would be pros and cons but personally, I think for the reasons mentioned above by TDB and my own experiences playing with "friends" on a craps table, one would be better off playing alone or with only one other player that knows your game inside and out.

It would be nice to know if there is something similar where I live... Mid-Hudson Valley, NY... 100 miles north of New York city, NY - 60 miles south of Albany, NY along the Hudson River off in the Catskill mountains... :)

Is this a regular AARP program - nation-wide? Oh well... time to Google....

I guess you could to to GA, I am sure there are craps players who thought they could control the dice and lost everything chasing the hard six. That is probably as close as you will get to a Craps Club or group of people who play craps.

I think it is a regular AARP program that they recently instituted to help out the seniors they feel will be living in poverty if Trump takes away their social security, health care, pensions, etc.

LOL! Well I since I already have a real normal healthy social life with real healthy normal people, and since I am NOT not a wino, psycho, junkie, jail-bird, loser, cultie, religious maniac, I think that I'll give Gamblers Anonymous a serious Pasadena.. lol...

I was thinking more about Casino or Craps junkets sponsored by th AARP...lol is more my speed or my crowd... normal decent folk who share a specific interest...

AARP groups that take a bus to the casino play Slots and Bingo. Bring some extra dobbers and you will have instant friends with that bunch!

When I was honcho of a team on the East Coast - THE PRIMARY RULE - was to be at the casino at the Prescribed Meeting Time -

Generally a certain amount of time prior to the table opening -

We would take our positions while the crew was beginning to count the chips down-

In THIS manner we were assured of obtaining our preferred shooting positions !

    RE- #1 - screw THEM ! THIS IS NOT a " social event " - THIS is BUSINESS !

RE #3 - MISS TWO events - and YOU are HISTORY !

There are numerous people waiting in the wings who are more than willing to take your place !

Unfortunately, EVEN with ALL of the above intact and working to our benefit -

There were NUMEROUS occasions where we could just NOT cut the mustard and perform to our potential !

    SAD - BUT - Alas - TRUE !
