I have seen the abbreviation E.O. used in dealer forums. What does this mean? Also, I have seen some dealers write about a "point system"....... Is this some type of demerit system? Thanks.

    E.O.....

The only thing I can think of is "early out"....

Typically if a casino is slow, an employee may "early out"....go home early, before their shift is over.

No idea on the point system.

EO is early out or voluntarily go home early.

Some employers use a point system for disciplinary actions. Example: If you miss or are late more than 1 day in a month you get 1 point. Get 3 points in 6 months and you get a verbal or written warning. 5 points and you're fired.

This is just an example. I've been self employed for so long that I've fell out of the loop of what employers use for point systems these days.

From what I know...typically a manager will decide if E.O. is a possibility for that day and if yes, will post an E.O. sheet. First to sign is first to be offered to leave. Then they go down the list if more can be sent home. I've also heard of verbal EO's...."do you want to go home early"?

It can go by seniority as well.

    This is Barney,

I am very, very much sorry but these answers are for the shits...Although I do not play the game of craps, I have been around the craps table tracking the LID's tosses for over 70 years and I know that 95% of the things the dealers talk about is the sex...sex...sex.

It is the common knowledge that E. O. is dealer code words for "Enormous Orbs" when seeing a most beautiful chick while Point is of course how they rate the chicks with the enormous orbs on a one to ten point scale as she walks by or bends over at the table of the craps.

    Thank you very much
