I know dealers need tips to make a living, but what is the hourly rate of a cage cashier? It never occurred to me to tip the person who took my chips and paid me my cash until one time I had a cashier who was very pregnant. I gave her $10. Then when I started using casino credit and the cashiers had to process my marker pay backs, I figured that was worthy of a tip if I had a decent win on top of the pay back. I no longer have credit anywhere, but now I usually toke a red chip if I've won a decent amount. The one exception is Caesars AC where the cage employees seem to be overly friendly and hustling for tips. They may only be doing it as a matter of casino policy, but I find it annoying and do not tip them.

There is nothing wrong with tipping people that provide a service in an efficient, nice way. It makes everybody feel good and engenders smiles. Sometime it may help you in an unexpected way. It's only money.

When TF does it end???? The casino cashier??? For what doing their job. I'm with the USPS and I want you, as a tip to me, to lick 50 cents on your next letter. That's right we be in big trouble cause Uncle Sam makes us give unfairly to fund future retirements and medical. Our $200 million or so profit last quarter got ate by that bill so we lost millions or billions whatever last quarter. In fact it has been estimated that our overpayment to the Federal Government is about $75 Billion according to the CBO. Will congress rectify the situation??? Don't hold your breath!

So all that to say if you all don't mind adding a few pennies to your letters we would appreciate it very much. To Insure Promptness of course! Get it? TIP is an acronym!!

So how can you insure promptness with a cage person? Next person please! Do you want large bills? See the foolishness of that? Now you "TIP" for prompt service from a waitress, bartender, cab driver, craps dealer and yes some of you even the mailman at Christmas. But not me of course, I'm slaving away at a DBCS where we shuffle and deal the mail so your carrier has all his mail in delivery point sequence.

Do you tip your grocery store cashier??? Don't get me started!!!

Thats what causes the long lines.Just say "hello and repeat the amount I am receiving and say good bye" a quick easy transaction is what most people want.

You sound like little orphan Annie LOL!Its only money? So just give all your winnings away to one of the machine attendants or the security guards?

I'll be straight up if hit the the jackpot or won alot I would find the hottest cocktail waitresses that I like and give them $100.I have done it on a smaller amount with a waitress I know well I gave her 10 bucks for doing nothing but being herself.I would tip the bathroom guy too for $100.

I even get ticked off at people who dont tip the drink servers its just rude.I always tip 2 bucks.

Uh oh dont go postal on us!I was a TE and I made 20 bucks an hour so you gotta be making alot more so why are you complaining?Blame technology on the downfall of the Post Office.EMAILS,FAXES, etc. is the cause of most of your problems.

You chose to do the job and I know its rough.Especially when it rains, snows, heat and all that other "fun"stuff.Someone giving me water in the summer was a good enough tip for me and I was grateful for it.

Maybe its a security issue not to tip the cashier they might look at it as a shady transaction. If they did receive a tip I am sure they have to report

I also wonder why most the cashiers are women?I encountered my first man cashier last night at the Wild West

Cage personnel make equivalent to a bank teller, which is very little. So what little tips that they receive is a large bonus for them. When I have a good day I usually will leave them a dollar or two.
