I stopped by Horseshoe Hammond Casino (Hammond, IN) to earn a few more tier credits so I would start 2017 at the Diamond tier. The good baccarat tables (with Dragon 7 / Panda 8 bonus bets in the non-smoking room) were way too crowded, so I decided to play craps. Only 3 of the 9 tables were open when I arrived around 2:30 pm. All of the tables had a $10 table minimum and offered both the Fire Bet and All Tall Small (ATS) Bonus bets.

After playing for @2 hours, I was down a bit, as the table had been cold much of the time. Nobody had come close to hitting the Fire Bet or any of the ATS bets. A few PSOs and short roll 7 outs. I decided to shoot one more time and then take a break and check whether I had earned enough tier credits for the year. Since I was down, I scaled back the ATS bets to 2-2-2, along with a $2 Fire Bet. After establishing 6 as the point, I proceeded to throw numbers. Lots of numbers, but no point. No matter, bettors were getting paid. Finally, after perhaps @20 rolls, I threw a hard 6, making the point. While waiting to be paid, I took a look at the ATS and noticed I was only missing the 2, 10 & 11. On the come out roll, I set (yes, as Settingcanthurt has stated, setting can't hurt, right?) the dice with 4-4 on top and 1-1 on the back. I threw a 2. No problem, since it made the Small bet a winner -- and I also had a $2 crap check. Now I needed only 2 numbers for the All & Tall bets to become winners.

After the crew paid out the Small bets, the guy next to me mentioned it would be a great time for a Yo. So, again I set the dice, this time with 5-6 on top and 6-5 on the back. What the heck, it couldn't hurt on the come out roll, right? And it didn't. I threw an 11. Natural winner. And now only 1 number was needed for the All & Tall bets to become winners.

At this point, there were some very excited people at the table. Several had $25 on the All bet and made Lay 10 bets, holding up the game for a few minutes. After finally getting the dice, I again set them -- this time, 6-4 on top and 5-5 on the back. Hey, it (or something) had "worked" the 2 previous times, so why not? And it was the most beautiful hard 10 I have ever rolled!!

Personally, I don't believe I have "DI" abilities. That can probably be inferred from my member name. In the past, I have mentioned I'm a very, very streaky shooter ("feast or famine", as I have described my shooting). But sometimes, I have to wonder. I threw the 3 numbers needed for the ATS bets to become winners in 3 successive rolls. Not the "easiest" 3 numbers to roll, either. What the heck is going on?!! My wife and I saw Rogue One on Christmas. Perhaps the Force was with me at the craps table that last time I shot the dice. I think I'll watch another Star Wars movie before I play craps next time. By the way, the very next number I threw was a 7 out.

Best wishes to all in 2017.

I got a bag of coal -- not just a lump -- for Christmas. I think somebody (Putin?) hacked Santa's list or perhaps he didn't check it twice. Oh well, not a big deal.

As you might have read somewhere online, I am reportedly working on a prototype rig for card influence. If successful, this could really come in handy in baccarat and other games that are dealt from a multi-deck shoe. Given current budget constraints, I've had to make do working with D list talent. These are people who might have played key roles in the development and marketing of Infinium Labs Phantom, Iridium, New Coke, and a few neighborhood lemon ade stand cartels. With their track record, success is anything but assured. Sorry, I can't divulge any additional details at the moment. Right now attorneys at Sioux,, Wynne & Prophet are putting together the paperwork for possible submission to the US Patent and Trademark Office. If it proves out (or even if it doesn't), we'll consider an IPO.

Outdoing the Browns isn't exactly setting a high bar, lol. Hope 2017 is a great year for you too, Twelve4s.

    Thanks, Badddoin.

When I saw I only needed the 2 to make the Small bet and 3 numbers to make the All & Tall bets, I started thinking I had a chance (however remote) to hit at least one of the Bonus bets. I think it was somewhat fortuitous I had just made the point and it was a come out roll -- which is often an invitation for a craps or a natural. Fortunately for me, a 2 was rolled. But to knock those 3 numbers off in 3 successive rolls (and in the process winning the 3 ATS bets), that's something I doubt I'll accomplish again.

    Thanks yacraps.

I briefly thought about it, but did not make a Lay 10 bet. Having hit the other 2 outstanding numbers so quickly -- and somewhat unexpectedly -- I wanted to maintain the positive vibes. Besides, I only had $2 on the All and $2 on the Tall, so $350 (plus $2 bet) + $70 (less $2 bet) was the potential win. The guys with $25 on the All (and $10+ on the Tall) bet had a lot more at stake than I did, which is why they made Lay 10 bets.

    RR,

With this hand, Dave will probably take you out of the SRT group and make you a potential GA (golden arm) or at least a potential DI. Nice shootin'.

don't think you have DI abilities at all. I think it was just the Craps God himself that decided it was your turn to have a good time at the table.
how sweet is it when you really want something like a 10, and a hard ten comes in?
its like waking up xmas morning as a 7 y/o and having every single present under the tree with your name on it, and every single present is exactly what you asked santa for.

congrats on the numbers. I hope you don't get DID disease. Dice Influencing Delusional disease.

I hope not -- I rather like the "SRT" (Superior Random Tossers?) group. I'm definitely not a DI.. Not saying others aren't (or can't), but it's not something I can do.

Perhaps I'm cashing in some Karma points that I might have been stockpiling. I've been helping several neighbors clear snow off their walkways, sidewalks and in the alley in front of their garage. Been doing that since we moved here in 2008, so maybe I finally have accumulated enough karma credits for use at the craps table.

Not to worry, lol. I don't think I have any DI abilities, either. And perhaps it was my turn to have good fortune at the table.

I don't recall ever having had 3 successive rolls "needing" to hit a number (1 of 3 numbers initially) and then hitting the 3 numbers in succession to win all 3 ATS bets. That's what made it memorable to me. Everyone at the table was pretty stunned, like "did that just happen?". I doubt this will ever happen to me again. I've hit the All bet before, but one of the other bets (Small or Tall) had already been made several rolls before. Shame I forgot to buy a Powerball ticket that day.
