I am new to the game and wanted to build a table at home just to play with friends and family. It is nothing spectacular, 8’x4’, and just for fun. I have 3/4” plywood under the playing surface and the table foam. Any suggestions for the base/legs? I am thinking we need something that spans the plywood and is braced by the side boards. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks! 512D4DC3-812C-4281-A6AC-94D4E6B52746.jpeg 778128CC-08B5-4E37-8119-E670B8A81C35.jpeg

Axispowercraps.com Join and search, a lot of projects over the years, some with pictures, and certainly helpful people.

Bonus: They will also teach you to throw.

Dave is our world class shooter. He regularly claims to win $75 at the tables in CT. So the rest of us are Second Rate Talents!

We got an old codger here, who claims that he can teach you to win. Never mind that the game (tables) have passed him by, and he is now a one trick pony, with one shot, at one position, on one type of table that is quickly being replaced in casinos. He is our number one troll, who some of us call AssHall. He will not teach you poop! So if you do want to learn, I recommend Heavy at axis, as I have said before!

Nice work, can't help you much on the rest of the construction. But plenty of information on the net about homemade tables.

There is also plenty of free information on the game, but it's up to you to sort through the information to try and determine the good, the bad and the ugly. :)

    Welcome to the form Joe.
Some people are guessing you're a dice setter. I'm not gonna guess but I'm gonna ask. Are you interested in dice setting?
If you are. There is a ton of free information regarding dice setting.
Teach yourself the basics and then you can decide if you need a so called teacher.
I bought a table so I could practice dice setting and try different betting strategies.
Setting dice at home doesn't equate to table conditions at casinos in my opinion.
I don't like using a simulator for strategies or using an online app for craps to figure out what strategy works. There is no substitution for playing strategies on your table at home.
    What state are you in?

    I forgot to mention.
Nice job on building the table. Try looking up plans for building a craps table. It will give you a height at which the surface should be. My table has two legs if that is what you want to call them.
They span the width of the table and are a foot wide. Each one is two feet in from the end. I have a 12 foot table

I literally have no idea what a dice setter is. I have no intention of playing craps for real money, as I live in NC and it would be frowned upon. What is a dice setter?

Thanks for the info on the legs! That actually helps, I was thinking I would need 3 legs like you described, but if two are ok on a 12 ft table then I could just do 2.
