True mechanical Dice Slot Machines were very complex and two were manufactured in 1935 to 1937.

Those found were usually 'Like New' as they would break down and the repairmen did not know anything about Craps. This included Winner 7 or 11, Loser 2, 3 or 12 and Making Point. Many were put back into the shipping crate and sent back to Bally or Buckley, the only two slot machine companies that attempted to make a counter game designed around... to evolve into Bubble Craps 2016.

Mechanical to Computer to get it to work.

The history of these mechanical wonders is interesting.

    Bally Reliance Slot Machine
    Buckley Bones Dice Machine

Both were manufactured in the 1935 to 1937 era of mechanical slot machines.

    interesting.

I know back in the 70s and 80s, stardust, the only casino I remember with one, had a machine with I believe 3 dice, you bet over or under a certain number and then each time you won it asked you if double or nothing, I think it started at 50 cents (2 quarters pushed in on a handle) and went up to 8 dollars? I don't recall, I just remember the machine near the keno lounge. used to get a kick out of playing it. that's the only machine I remember shaking dice up for new outcomes.

A mechanical machine has more potential to be beatable or have a weak spot than a craps table where humans are the mechanism depended on for the RNG.

Machines have predictable occurrences for those who understand mechanics and automation, an astute eye and an open mind.

I always wanted one of those old slot machines. All I have now is a middle aged Black Cherry machine that looks like it was brought back to life after drowning in Hurricane Katrina on the inside. It does work though and looks good on the outside.

A crisp new mechanical slot machine DOES have a cycle that can be discovered. It usually involves the FIRST REEL. Keeping track of the other two becomes a bit more complicated.

Some mechanical slot machines had a mechanism, when you pull the handle, a sprocket would move to change the length of the 'clock timing'. Even the slot players of mechanical slots figured out how to beat them, so the clock timing was variable, taking care of that... problem.

If a mechanical slot machine was paying... too much. You could, as most clubs running old slots after they were made illegal in 1950, alter the odds. They would place a 'lemon' over an Orange or Bell, plug the payout slot on the reel... so it altered the pre determined payoff over the long term.

Black Cherry slots were the last of the finest Mills slot machines. It will run until the brass gears in the 'clock timing fan' strip and then parts will be needed.

Where are the Chuck A Luck dice players? My mom was a sucker for playing them, usually as you come into a Casino, with a good crowd. Played with three dice, metal hour glass cage and a layout.

Both modern and antique machines are alike.

The modern computer generated outcomes are just dressed up nicer than the older, One Armed Bandits.

The modern slot machines have... both arms to do it to you.

what I used to play in stardust must have been a commercial version of a chuck a luck type of device.
it didnt pay for triples, all it did was over or under a certain number, I dont recall which number, maybe 11? or 10? it was the size of a bubble game machine on a stand, a glass dome with a push in style 2 quarter play, you place the quarters in the arm, then push it in and the machine goes on and you bet over or under, if you win, you got 3 more tries I believe, not exactly sure now, or you could take your win at any time. double or nothing each decision.
I would love to find one of those, and purchase it for my den. not sure if any exist as I havent found a picture of one that I remember, and I only recall seeing it in stardust.(once downtown in the 70s, but I cant remember where)
