If you will notice, TD never shows any bets in his photos, and he's a come bettor, so, how could this be? And then he has the balls, to say somebody else is making false claims, oh yeah, and trolling. I don't see how any honest man, could recommend "bubbling", I really don't.

last time I was in vegas, on the strip, seemed most didn't speak English or spoke with heavy accent.
Its a draw city, just like LA, NY, Miami, it will always draw in tourists, it will always draw in the hey, what happens in vegas stays in vegas crowd, the first timers, the people who just have to experience it at least once,
vegas will survive, but once the gambling isn't the main attraction, and I think all these casinos selling or closing make it clear, vegas will become only the strong survive, or the ones that figure it out and make it more for the players than their corporate bigwigs.

and if casinos start to shut down in years to come, Nevada will have a big welfare problem. the people who are out of work aren't moving so fast, and the govt will have to feed and pay their rent.

Maybe they will all become "hiking guides" :) It's just not the same without the noisy slot trays, and the party atmosphere. A Casino is just a big "money sucking machine" now. Vegas was pretty cool until about the mid eighties, then things started to change. The location is absolutely horrible, but that didn't matter, when they were the only game in town. Not so anymore. I see a slow decline. Maybe they can become a religious destination, sort of like, a Western Hemisphere "Mecca". Got the same landscape.

    von duck,

Yes, if the rate of GREED the Casino's I have demonstrated continues those things could happen!

    Just as I posted above:

But, Casino's have gotten Greedy as follows:

    1) Tightening BJ Games, so it is very difficult to WIN

    2) Adding Resort Fees, for what used to be FREE

    3) Making Food ""Pay For Itself""

    4) Messing with CRAPS Tables & Payouts

    5) Charging ""Parking Fees""

    6) Many Others to COME???

The above are what could spell the DEMISE of Vegas, IMHO!

Ok, I'm going to address your complaints by your numbers.
1). I'm not sure if it has occurred to you or not, but the casinos don't actually want you to win at BJ, they want you to lose, in fact, they want you to lose, "hard and often". These changes have a dual effect. They eliminate astute player, who are difficult to beat at BJ, and this opens up more seats for "chump players" who they now, hold an even bigger edge on. :)
2). Resort fees are just a way to jack up the price, once your standing in the middle of the desert. " oh, that's the price before resort fees" we thought you understood that,"chump", I mean "valued" customer.
3). The good old days of cheap food are gone. Food is a necessity, therefore, let's make some more money. Can't really blame them for this one. If your like me, you could probably stand to eat a little less anyway. :D
4). same thing as number 1).
5). "There ain't no such thing as a free lunch". Several ways around this one, walk, take the bus, or get one of those cars that folds up into a briefcase, like George Jetson had.
6). I'm pretty sure your right, on this one, and that is why many of us, will at the same time "not go". :)
Ok, that's it, but let me leave you with one thought, despite all of these things, we can all be sure of one thing, "THE CASINOS", are definitely, "OUR FRIENDS" :D

talk about nonsense with fees..........I was just checking out a place to go visit if we get free time later in week.
I don't recall which hotel, I think it was an AC hotel maybe ceasars.......it listed hotel price, fair price, but they tacked on resort fees, then another "other fees" 10 dollars without any explanation of what those fees are......totally ridiculous.
resort fees include, free wifi for two...(I like mine rare to medium....wtf, wifi for two.......what fucking nonsense), 5 dollars off self parking.....so why not just charge 5 fucking dollars less on resort fee? its fucking criminal......oh, and I think use of their gym, whatever they call it......
people question why places like AC are going under, I think the hotels/casinos can answer that, and already have.
with all those antiquated rooms, (hope I got that word right), I just wanted to go check out the 2 new hotels, eh,

New casino business model. Charge as much as you can for anything and everything and add in new fees under the guise of “resort”....until such time that the business is negatively effected by per person visitors and spending.

Then, internally, in meetings, they say “this is the breaking point” and “lets now offer up some discounts, etc.”

Shitty way of conducting business but welcome to gaming in 2019. Wait for the breaking point.

They like the kind of "gambler" that split tens and fys, bet hardways and horns, and believe in Due theory. You get $5 off, if you're proficient with a set of chopsticks. I think alcohol is still free though, oh boy, bottoms up. :)

I don't think so. It doesn't take into account alienating the customer to the point where they find somewhere else to play closer to home.

It's already having an effect here. Numbers are down. Room rates are dropping. Less conventions. Squeezing until the customer "can't bear it" is an asinine way to keep a customer base.

Good thing they went with "Lucky Dragon", originally, they were going to call it the "Unlucky Dragon". Wonder what it would have sold for with that name? :)

The best way to see what the effect is, would be the passenger count, in and out of McCarran.

Im still getting a lot of offers from station casinos, but nothing that would make me want to go there again.
Atlantic city offers are getting sweeter and sweeter, and now foxwoods is offering us 2 free nights each any weeknights.
my point, local casinos are looking for patrons just like vegas, and without travel expenses, free room offers, free food offers, it just makes casinos within 3 hours by car more attractive
not to mention all the strip casinos are killing the payouts on everything, boosting food prices , charging fees for anything and everything.
just give me a fair good game, and Ill visit the casino. Give me a fair good game but try to rape me on everything else, Ill just go someplace where I feel less "attacked"

The numbers are rising year over year....but there is likely some gaming softness built in as Vegas expands its business base. The Golden Knights, the Raiders coming to Vegas will and have no doubt bump the numbers.

In any event, MGM’s Murren getting a little cranky.
