Does anyone besides myself hedge the Fire Bet when the puck is on the 5th or 6th number. How much of a % is a good hedge?

Sometimes. It depends... but when I do hedge, I usually lay the point for about 50% of the fire bet payout. So if I'm looking at a potential $250 pay out, I may lay the point $90, $100 or $120.

You may also consider taking all your other bets down and then lay the 10 and/or 4.

Instead of laying the 5th and 6th number, I put an equal amount on the pass and don't pass. If they get the puck on the 5th/6th number, I'll put odds on the don't side. This way you can avoid paying the vig on a lay bet. If they repeat a point, I'll pull that place bet down and put it as my pass line odds. I'd put about 25% of the potential winnings as hedge.
