They are still out there. Sometimes in front of Caesars Forums shops. or out on Park Ave new the new Beer gardens. They setup a small table and start the hustle till a security guard comes along and runs them off.

There is a lot of hustles on Las Veges Blvd S:
    • Perfume make-up hustle. it is a cheap bag of freebies that the hustlers pick up at malls then sell for $20 each!
    • Rap CD guys - They press the CD in your hand then tell you that they are up and coming Rap artist and that the autograph and CD will be worth something. They want a $20 tip. The CD's are blank!!!
Some questionable things I see out there:
    • Timeshare seminar hustlers
    • Costume tip hustlers
    • Singing and dancing tip hustlers
    • Strip club hustlers - Free ride to a strip club (not really free since the strip club pays the driver for each head, then exacts that fee from the person as they enter the door)

Well, slots is the casinos front-line hustle! Those machines are bright, flashy, noisy and come in many themes and flavors. I have found myself many times stopped to look at someone playing slot machine because they where on some feature bonus round or something like that. I can see how the machine becomes very entertaining and story-like as you play them. Sure, I have seen many slot players hit big jackpots, but I have seen the same players go bust too.

Can you thrive on Slots? Perhaps... (this also includes Video Poker play as well)

There is a crowd of locals that come in on high multiplier days (10x or higher) and play slots to build up points that they will cash out. Slot Play will also generate drawing tickets for cash prizes, and I found that all the winners are slot players.

Most slot players like the 4-card keno, buffalo slots machine (classic), and three wheel reel slots (two coin double diamond slot). The theme slots machines are not popular with the local, nor are most progressive slots unless the progressive is at a very high amount. Many locals like the slot that is part of the multi-game with the game king machines whee you have Video Poker, keno, slots and blackjack all on one machine and you can choose what you want to play. Return rate for the slot is higher than machines that are only just a slot machine.

There is a class of slot player called Bonus Hunters, and the casino will kick out and ban such players! This is simply a person who hunts for machines that are showing a high MUST PAY BY progressive, or where bonus multipliers are left on the machine from the last player, and the Bonus Hunter goes in for the bonus on such machines. What the casino does not like about that is that the Bonus Hunter will not play the Slot or Poker Machines otherwise!

Do I play slots? It really depends on a few things....
    1. What is the multiplier I am getting? If I get a rare 15X multiplier Ill play a low volatility machine. Those points to keep or gain a tier level can really help out with weekly free play and free table bets, free food and other nice things that the casino gives me.
    2. What other goodies is the casino offering me while I play? Free food, gifts, free play?
    3. Is there a hot seat or random reward during my play? (such as the free car give-a-way at stations casinos)
I also look at my tier level and current points and ask...

    ...Do I need the points?
...What will the next tier level get me? (free parking, VIP perks, Lounge access, other goodies?)

To say that I NEVER PLAY SLOTS may be great for some casinos, however you really need to evaluate the casino as to what they will give you if you do.... and it may be something you really want! If they got nothing you want, then don't bother playing slots.

There are two kinds of slot machines. Lets call it (A). There is slot poker, slot blackjack, slot baccarat, slot roulette and bubble or video craps. These machines offer the same probabilities as the live table version. That is law. This is achieved thru RNG's, 52 deck card generators and a vibrating bubble floor inducing random results. These games generally offer a different way of accumulating points than traditional slots.

There are then traditional slots. Lets call it (B). In Nevada these machines have "holds" ranging from 25% and lower. That is also law. These would be your double diamond, Buffalo, Game of Thrones and all the other bell and whistle games not representing live table games.

Locals who play the second version are going to get obliterated.

With Station casinos...in terms of their giveaways, contests, free cars, 10K raffles---IMO, you are not winning those unless you hold a Chairman or President card. If you hold their red, gold or platinum card---you are wasting your time with their big giveaways. Period. They know where their "bread and butter" is and they know who they have to appease.

Even with 10X points or anything else offered (B) slot players---there is no way in hell they are recouping losses. I'll watch some of these locals stuff $100 after $100 into these machines. It's rather disgusting to watch it disappear in the manner it does...lickity split.

I use a card. It does not dictate or influence my gambling habits. Whatever they give me ($60 in free slot play this month)...I will use. I will use food comps. The card does nothing to get me to play more than I would without the card.

ya know there are people who just look at slots as nothing more than a relaxing pastime and know beforehand the odds of walking away with money is slim.
They are ok with the entertainment value they are getting.
some people pay 6 dollars for a beer at a bar for the social aspect of drinking in public and not in your garage, den, or basement alone.

Everyone that plays slots are not addicted losers.

people like to blow off some steam with that tiny bit of hope that hey, maybe Ill walk away with an extra 25 bucks.

People aren't harming themselves with this attitude. Nor are they spending their life savings or taking food off the table for their children.

actually I believe the person who thinks he can beat a game like craps in a casino is a worse enemy to himself that a slot player

Yep.....been to Detroit MANY times during my journeys! Detroit sort of reminds me of Gary, Indiana! A complete slum, with many boarded up houses, & filthy, dirty streets!

    Chicago is the same way!

I agree. My only issue with slots is really geared toward local players. The tourist flies into Vegas, plays slots for a few days and goes home. Awesome. Great. The local drives to the casino, plays and goes home. The difference. The local is right back on that machine 2 days later. Then, 2 days later again.

I'm sure many have discretionary money to spend and they enjoy it. I just see far too many regulars pumping those machines like an oil well....and coming up with water.

The sure fire way to win at craps is to follow full press around the casino. In one of his recent videos he states that he has never lost at a casino visit and he is telling the truth. Even the great Mad Professor had occasional losses. Can't beat seeking him out at the craps table. He has put out more videos than Supperick and in his most recent video he videos a craps session at a Hollywood casino. Why on earth he did this is beyond me. Supperick wouldn't even consider such a dumbass move. I must say his videoed craps betting was significantly less than his betting style on his home rig. Needless to say I think what he is doing will be detrimental to his future casino play but I still like his craps videos.

14-2 odds! Gotta laugh at that idiot! He is surely gonna send a lot of folks to the poor house by advising $66 inside, $96 Across, working on the Come Out! Lol.

I viewed the video of his Casino visit, & he has GOT TO BE the dumbest so-called Di that I have ever witnessed!

First the guy plasters his face ALL OVER YOUTUBE, telling people how to beat the Casinos ( which in my opinion, his style of play is "Watch how fast, I can get busted").

Secondly, the idiot told someone ( A viewer) his REAL first name, & that viewer REPEATEDLY ask Full Press questions, using Full Press's REAL first name!

Thirdly, the idiot records a "live" Casino session with his Brother-In Law's face on video! Lol

Some guys just do not learn! However, the "Saving Grace" for that idiot is that he is NOT a threat to the Casinos!

With his "Suspect" Math ( 14-2 odds), & his overly aggressive style of play.......He's a train wreck, just waiting to happen!

14-2 odds, & he wins 100% of the time! Lol.

There's another guy on this forum ( I won't "Out" him) that is a Subscriber to his hero.....Full Press, & guess what? You guessed it! He posted his REAL first, & last name, as well!

Ya just can't fix STUPID, Huh? Lol
I know that most of you guys don't give a Rat's Ass about Dice Influencing, but if you need a good laugh, Google: Full Press Craps!

I PROMISE that you will never stop laughing! His secret to winning at craps......PULL YOUR BETS DOWN!

    Pretty fucking profound, Huh?

If ya got a buck in your pocket, you can rest assured that there are people standing in line to try and transfer it from your pocket to theirs!

Some honestly, some not so honestly!

I think ole P.T. Barnum had it pretty well pegged!

I always figured by some of his posts he had Polish not Italian roots. (Not that there is anything wrong with being Polish or Italian)

The variation I heard was to wait for the final two teams to be playing for the league championship of the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL to be decided, then (e)mail picks on the championship game/series to as many people as possible. Of course half of each (e)mailing would pick one team while the other half would pick the other. The championship is decided, so you keep the addresses that got the correct pick and repeat the 50-50 split mailing for the next sport. After a year you have addresses to which you have sent four correct picks. They get the sting.
Many moons ago my wife and I went to our state fair. While walking through the carney booths one of the attendants offered to give her the top prize stuffed animal if she would promise to walk around with it for some length of time and tell everybody who asked where she had "won" it. Perhaps our local prospectors would care to expound on the practice of "salting the mine"?
Before I even knew my second wife her mother went to visit her old neighborhood in Chicago. (Don't know her age when she lived there.) The cab driver refused to go into the area.
There are quite a number of variations on this theme: getting the mark to act as a financial intermediary between receiving a (fraudulent) financial instrument (cashier's check, money order) and forwarding the funds from his/her personal bank account. The most common one I have heard of is a foreign trading company needing a domestic intermediary to receive payments from domestic customers. Why do you suppose an international trader would solicit the services of a stranger instead of, off the top of my head, A REGISTERED FINANCIAL INSTITUTION (e.g. a bank) to act as an intermediary? Answer: perhaps the international trader is  not an international trader? Who'd a-thunk it!

What amazes me, is that there are enough people falling for all these scams to keep the guys in business.

That old saying...."A fool and his money are soon parted.", is not what gives me pause.......it's how they came by any money in the first place! :)

How many people play powerball? Gotta be 50million. Though it's not really a "scam", with odds near 300 million to 1, it might as well be. Face it, people love to gamble, and either don't have a clue, or don't care about the odds.
