I almost drove to Jumners yesterday assuming they were already open. We went to Rhythm City which was our primary objective.

Casino was busy. Masks required at the tables but they weren't enforcing the 3 per table or 3 per side of a craps table rule.

Wife lost $200 on Blackjack and I won $410 on the single seat bubbles. They have 3 of those now and the single seat Bac. game is gone. Didn't play table craps.

We had their Buffet. It's served cafeteria style now. Personally I feel they have the best buffet in the country on weekends at least. I've heard it isn't as good during the week.

They've raised the price to $24.99 plus tax and the buffet wasn't very busy for a Saturday night.

Thanks for the info about Rhythm City. Glad you came out ahead and got to partake in the buffet. I haven't been there in a few years but if memory serves, it was a pretty good buffet at a really good price.

As I have previously mentioned, I think the Quad Cities has the *best* collection of casinos for an MSA of its size. Rhythm City and Isle opened new casinos in July 2016, while Jumers moved to a new facility in 2008. Riverside is about an hour west. Two more casinos in Dubuque are just over an hour (@70 miles) north. Heck, even Wild Rose (Clinton, IA) is only @40 miles away. Quite a few decent gaming options in the Quad Cities and within easy driving distance of the area. And, if you're willing to drive a bit, there's always Catfish Bend (Burlington, IA), Par-A-Dice (Peoria, IL) and Isle of Capri (Waterloo, IA).

Speaking of Catfish Bend Casino, it offers 10x odds. $3 table during the week (M-F) until 5pm. Table limits $5 to $500.

Burlington is a pretty cool town to drive around. Lots of railroading history -- not surprising, given it was a namesake city of the great railroads in US history, Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad (aka, Burlington Route). Today, after numerous mergers, BNSF is the successor in interest. The local Burlington Junction Railway (a short line) is probably the only railroad in the world to have an operational (revenue service) Alco C415 locomotive. Only 26 of these engines were built by the American Locomotive Company (Alco) between 1966-68. Alco exited the locomotive business in 1969.

Im glad they all listened to me when I wrote all the execs my take on buffets for the future. I explained without the buffets they will lose 25% of their patrons. I then went on to explain the cafeteria style service, and Im glad they agreed.

I don't think 25% of the patrons would starve to death without the buffet, probably only about 10%, the rest would find a vending machine, and chow-down.

Does anyone know if any Illinois casinos are allowing customers to:

    1) Wear face shields instead of face masks?
    2) Have drinks at the table games?

Casino in southern il onlyvallowed 3 per side at craps table. They also raised table minimum to 15 and 25. Had to wear masks inside casino. They would spray sanitizer whenbu first got to table and bought in. They wouls sanitize table section when someone left. After a 7 out they would santize dice. Played a little while up 200. Hit the tall one time. Like the only 3 per side of table. Een a while see its still thr same on here. Hope your doing well random.

I generally like the $10 craps tables with 3x 4x 5x. I am nota big fan of $25 table mins. I like to see several players shoot at $10; then if the table gets hot; move to $25. I don't like it shoved down my throat. (no sexual innuendo implied unless the shoe fits of course)

Good to hear from you again, Edward-ky. I haven't yet been back to Rivers Casino (or any other casino) since it reopened July 1st.

    Hope all is well.
