One of the many issues some have with James Hall and his craps strategy is short term (i.e., quitting when you get ahead) versus long term. In games which are random it makes no difference which strategy you use because it’s all one big session and consequently some think he is full of shit. But that is the rub. Is craps completely random for dudes that allegedly have a controlled toss like James? If a player has some edge due to his tossing allegedly like James, then his strategy of short term playing followed by truthful, unbiased feedback of his tossing after each session has merit and maybe a path to self improvement and hopefully some cash for some of us talented people. If you really understand your toss and do an unbiased analysis of how your toss behaved after a session then his $42 loss strategy may have merit and is very similar to what I have been doing for the last 6 years or so. The main problem that both believers and atheists have with James is his arrogance but he isn’t even a close second to guys like Travis McGee, Mark Twain, and to some extent Supperick and Linaway.
