Must hear mp3: Interview of Stanford Wong by Richard Munchkin and Bob Dancer, about an hour long. SW comes on about the 15 minute mark if you want to skip some video poker chit chat.

I couldn't listen to the interview by clicking on the link on the page, but was able to download it and listen to it after the file was on the computer. Listening to it now (at the 36 minute mark) and its interesting listening.

    I purchased his book " Professional BlackJack " circa 1988 - when it 1st came out -

His claim to fame in the BJ world was his " Wong Halves Count " -

    Probably very accurate -

Totally unplayable even in a single deck game -

You have to use too much " brain power " -

I can only imagine what " brilliant and enlightening " information that he brought to the game of craps with his -

" Expert " slant / take on the game -

And then - to come full circle -

After the publishers' checks cleared !

You get what you pay for !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That all depends on how you look at the interview.
    1) He was orginally skeptical and felt craps should be ignored.
    2) He got convinced to try and took lessons (Golen Touch) and appreantly did well
    3) After a few months he quit practicing and got sloppy (Don't we all)
    4) since then he still doesn't practice (his thing appears to be blackjack)
    5) He will still bet on some that he knows will do well (has to be possible then.. just not a casual thing)
End result sounds like its validly possible, but he, like most people, doesn't want to put that much time into it.
As long as he, and they won't spend the time in training, it keeps it open for those who will.

    Excellent synopsis -

And I totally concur with your last sentence !

I don't know about you or others -

But - as I strive to get there from here -

    I - practice, practice , practice !!!!!!!!!!!!
