James What I know for sure is its 8 degrees below zero right now and that is damned cold no matter how you play craps.. tdb
You do any ice fishing up there in the wintertime? When I was a kid living up north, I use to love that......But winters are not for old men now!
Yeah I guess you are right in part , joining the fray I get that from you guys all the time I post something and you guys start piling on one after the other , it's been that way for over a year Do you find it pleasant ?
I do like ice fishing and take the grand kids in the winter to Minnesota and rent one of those heated ice shacks and we stay right there. This year with my nephew and the cancer we have been staying close to home for over 2 months... So we had to skip it so far.. tdb
Cancer has a way of throwing a wrench in the works! I could probably handle a heated shack now....we use to just build a fire on the ice, but I only lived a few blocks from the lake, so could surrender any time. Hope your nephew improves!
autoguy thanks.... I have never seen so much sadness in one place before, it sorta creates a hole in you that cant be filled. But then again when so many people care so much, it was a life that truly meant something. tdb
It is ALWAYS a tragic event when a parent has to bury a child - Especially at such an early age - It happened in our family on a few occasions - Viet Nam war causality at the age of 19 - Then another medical mishap at the age of 12 - There are NO words that can be expressed by family or friends that will lessen the devastating impact on the immediate family - Especially the parents - Our most sincere condolences to you and your family in this dark hour of grief ! $...eE..$ and LuckyLady
Thats fine i am still not FROM ky just happens i live here which is not my desire to live here. Much rather go back and live in SC. And no i am not FROM SC either.
Snakeyes It seems to be happening a lot....I guess to be honest you see it and hear about it, but don't understand how bad it is until you see it up close. I am sorry that happened in your family and I understand that now better than I did a week ago. tdb
