Kentucky Derby moved to 9/5. Kentucky Oaks 9/4. Labor Day weekend. I got a call while on the road.

Kentucky folks talking with Maryland Jockey Club and NYRA to persuade them to also move Triple Crown races to September. Breeders Cup is scheduled for November 6-7. That's 4 big races over 9 weeks. That's a lot of work for today's animals. We'll see. Seldom that a horse would run in all 4 races anyway. America will be ready for a helluva party during Labor Day weekend. Won't it?

Just drove back to Ohio from suburban Baltimore. 5 1/2 hours, record time. 69 mph door to door. Traffic very, very light. No toll takers on PA turnpike. EZ Pass or they will send you a bill from a license plate photo. No food in rest stops. PA rest rooms closed. Spot a pots only. Ohio Turnpike had bathrooms open. Food merchants had takeout food only.

That first beer takes pretty damn good. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

What's happening? Read post # 1 in the thread "The Virus" I think you will find it very informative. It is the best link BS has ever posted IMO. Read it! It's important.
