I remember G saying that Cromwell is a place he likes to play.

If you guys play there Top, they have your ATS and 100x odds.

Waiting to hear how things go.

    Break a leg!

One of the side effects of a city that hangs it hat on tourism and gambling in a warm climate is going to be homelessness, panhandling, and vagrancy. I have no solution for the problem since some people want to be homeless for whatever reason but I agree that this ordinance will probably not stand up to court challenges and the police force should be doing things other than hall monitor.

FWIW: Las Vegas has spent a lot of money on the the streets, lighting, sidewalks etc on the South side of Downtown. Main Street, Caron street in particular. They were working on either 3rd or 4th street when we were there last month.

I don't know if it's because of better lighting or the fact that condo carts are easier to push on new sidewalks but, we noticed a much greater homeless presence on Main Street from Main Street Station casino to Charleston street on our last trip.

No, I am right! The across player, has 24 posible winning combinations, and only 6 losers. Therefore, he will usually win more often then he loses. I'm defining "win" as catch a number, and lose as, catch a 7. "Dig Man"?

Is this tabletops first visit to Vegas?

If so, he should be like a kid in a candy store.

Usually the first visit for anyone is a wide eyed event. There's no other place like it. 75 casinos all within 25 minutes of each other. The sights and sounds are like no where else.

Don't know if it's his first trip outright, but I'm pretty sure it's his first trip since "taking the mark of the beast". 75 casinos huh? Almost sounds like too much of a "good" thing. :) The sights and sounds, yes. My favorite sound, is one of those slot machines, spitting out a voucher, that always gets me fired up. :D My favorite sight, is some guy walking toward the airport, with a suitcase in his hand. Didn't even save enough for cap fare.

There is something about arriving into Vegas that makes ya giddy.

fun town....even though they have gotten greedy with visitors.

Will Lady Luck strike? Ya hope.

I’ll bet he’s having a good time with G and their wives. Hopefully doing some other stuff beyond the tables as well.

    Hoover Dam
    Restaurants
    Lake Mead
    Boulder City
    Red Rock Canyon
    Off strip places

It’s a balmy 75+ this week. Lots to do. Lots to see.

I’ll be at Nellis AFB this weekend watching some fast and furious.

What type of planes on display this weekend TDV?

Would love to see some of the WWII fighters: P51, F6F, Corsair and P38.

I think the high here today, is about 35.
Hoover Dam is pretty awesome, for anybody that likes to watch concrete set. A larger pour, you will rarely see.
Restaurants? They got those in most every city now.
Lake Mead. Not as awesome as it used to be, if you want to see it, you might better hurry. :)
Boulder City. How's their jail? :D
Red Rock Canyon, any casinos nearby?
Off strip places, you mean like Parump? :)
As for you Yacrapps, have a few more drinks. :D

I think I may have seen one of your guys yesterday at bubble craps. Big guy, mid 50's....pumped in $400. $50 horn, $25 on 2-3-11-12, $25 on C & E.

I assume he had tracked the data, what other players were betting and concluded "let's go"......

    6.....whoosh.

    Repeat.

    8....whoosh.

    Pumped in another $400.

    Same.

Pumped in another $400. He was almost timed out several times but did manage to get those hundreds in there before the clock struck zero.

    Same.
    Same.
    Same, etc.

Maybe about $2,000....whoosh in about 7 minutes. Nice knowin ya. I actually stopped watching him funnel in the hundreds and just heard the machine "ring it up" each time. Pathetic to watch, frankly. Brutal.

    One I'll always remember.

I was playing Blackjack at the casino that is Planet Hollywood now. Don't remember what it was called back then. Just me and the dealer.

Guy in his 20's politely asks if he can join in. I say sure. He takes out a 70K marker and loses it all in less than 10 minutes. Shrugs his shoulders, tells the dealer thanks, and says as long as it works out at the end of year it doesn't matter. Hopefully his next session was better than that one.

That's one of the reasons I always roll my eyes when someone claims they got kicked out of a casino because they were "too good" or won a few hundred dollars. When you're a big winner the casinos bend over backwards to get you back in the door because they want a shot at getting that money back.

we both know it works both ways, but usually on the way you posted here.
I will never forget, as long as I play, an experience at silver city casino, across the street from stardust, no clue if its there anymore, doubt it.
It was like a slots fun, 25 cents craps table.
I was busy betting my 1 dollar pass line bets, when I was learning the game, maybe me and one other player.
along walks a 65 ish y/o cowboy, boots, hat, really tall. this had to be early before 1982
He throws 10 dollars on the yo, dealers yells out, MONEY PLAYS!(when they used to let you throw a one time money bet)
I was rolling, I throw the eleven.
He leaves it on there, presses it all the way. I roll another 11.
now I don't recall exactly what he did, I believe he then had to leave the max bet allowed there, maybe 500, I cant recall his exact amount, but I threw it a third time in a row.
they paid him off, the pit boss looked at me with my 50 dollar buy in and said, if you do that again, we will have to kill you. He was smiling when he said it, so I thought he was kidding? the cowboy did not even leave a tip, me nor the dealers.
I remembered it as he pressed it all the way, but I don't think they allowed it. I never paid that much attention figuring Id never throw a third one, and besides, I have a huge bunch of dollar and 1.50 bets on the felt, I had to pay attention to me and my pay offs.
those were the days when Id have a 3 dollar ten, when it hit Id have an organism.

This guy was pissed. He was expecting 1 of them to hit....something.

I've seen it work the other way too. $20 into $800 with prop bets. My only issue with a lot of these guys is that they tend to give it back. You just made 40x your money with sucker bets. Don't be a sucker. Leave. Get up. Go get a cup of coffee. Savor the win for at least a little while.

He went to the $25 blackjack table and while I saw a few first pumps for a while...it looked like he also left with nothing.

No, that was not one of the "gang" as we like to call ourselves. We play a very conservative strategy, called "Testicles" named after a famous bubble tout. It's not big money, just a little supplement to their retirement, and a way to pass the time, that's you know "weatherproof". Can't divulge anything specific, because the money is finite, and you never know who might be working as an "EAR" for the casinos. I'm still holding down a Damned JOB, so it's just a weekend thing for me, but when I retire, I'll probably play more often. I can tell you that the system is based on a fix built into the machine, and would not work on a straight game. It's kind of ironic, but very satisfying, if you know what I mean.

You still don’t get it. You’re not getting out alive.

Maybe I’m being a little harsh. You’re not getting out unscathed.

Deal with it. No harm. Enjoy the tables. Or bubble. Or keno. Whatever floats your boat.
