After the point is set on the open, generally how many come bets will you place or try to place?

I will generally play the pass with odds then try to get 2 come bets set up, with odds and then wait until 1 of them hits, then place a new come bet. It hurts when you could hit an off and on a couple times when you don't have a new bet in the come, but I don't like to have too many of them up at one time. Usually my very max, and usually by mistake is to have 3 come bets on the points and the pass line bet.

    Thoughts?

Nice alt...but do you really need to make another thread a cesspool of trolling?

3 point molly. It’s a SOLID way to play. You go for an extra. Tomp would play this method.

Depending on your win goals and your tolerance for risk....you may also increase odds or increase the pass/come flat wager as you win.

All in all...your method is a solid play in my book.

And the answer is no, James Hall cannot help fucking up another thread. It’s in his blood to do this. It’s called the “James Hall shits another thread”.

    Good luck in your play.

Every thread turns into a cesspool of trolling. I am just making sure I am on the trend before it begins.

To be fair, the one that posted in this thread is not James Hall...it's somebody that created an alt s/n and didn't put a space between the names...look at the join dates...

Give it an hour or two and James Hall will be on here turning this thread into another troll thread. Oh and by the way... They are both the same. That's what trolls do.

As to your question, if I am come betting, I like to have two in play and if the roll goes over ten then I add one more. That's just me.

Base it on your bankroll and how much volatility you and your bankroll can stand.

I do three plus the point.

I'm a pretty new player, but I like this style of play. I usually do one come bet in addition to the point, and if it hits, I make another come bet twice, keeping two numbers covered. If it hits again, I'll make another come bet to cover a third number like you suggest, but I like to pocket a few chips first. I'll play three, but if the shooter hits for me another two times, I'll make a come bet to cover a fourth number, pocket two more wins, then make a come bet to cover a 5th, etcetera till eventually I have them all covered. Needless to say, that doesn't happen often (i.e. once).

I don't know how sound this is, but it works for me while I'm learning, and if I could just stop making carnival bets, I'd be in great shape! :) Any time I get $25 above my starting stake, I put a green in my pocket , never to come out again, and keep doing that, so I work down the amount in front of me that I can lose. I don't keep all the chips in the rack so I can lose them all back. I usually lose $50, $100, or more less than if I didn't pocket chips, and sometimes I even double up and then quit.

its a solid way to play,

if you aren't betting full odds, only increase on the odds till you max them, then and only then increase the flat bets.

Ive been playing this way for over 40 years, Ive done ok. Im still playing. Others here who never play on real tables will knock the come bets. They knock it because they don't have a decent grip on this game. and they never play real tables or even bubbles.

stick to your game it sounds solid.

All of us have different goals, theories / superstitions, financial resources and obligations, time to play / proximity to a casino, etc., so there is no one-size-fits-all way to play craps. That being said, there are (a few) times when any betting at the craps table will yield positive results, while there are other times when the only way to avoid losing (more) is to leave the casino.

    Good luck at the tables.

I've been playing the $10 tables, mostly and start off at 2x on the 4 & 10, 3x on the 5 &9 and 4x on the 6 & 8 since I usually end up at the 3,4,5x tables. Once I hit a couple or am ahead I will go to max odds. While I've played at SLS at their 100x table, the max I went was 10x on a $10 bet. I won one and lost one, but by nerves weren't steely enough to keep playing there. My excuse at the time was there were way to many prop betters and it was slowing the game down to a crawl, I know it's an excuse but that's what I used to justify walking away from that table.

I've really only played about 15 actual sessions where I had some kind of clue of what I was doing, or trying to do and I've done better with come play than place betting play. It might be mental or just what I prefer, but I end up in a better situation when I walk away after playing the come betting method.

It can be difficult to stay off the prop bets, but I do play a few. I'll play that ATS if I'm rolling or if somebody that seems to be "hot" is rolling, but not every roller. It adds some fun, but won't put up more than $2 per.

I will play the hard 6 & 8 two way for tipping purposes for $1 to $2. If I'm doing ok I'll then add the 4 and 10...if I'm rolling I might go up to $5, but that's very rare...maybe twice in all sessions

I used to put $2 on C&E to open, but some on here opened my eyes to the slow erosion that does to your bank...and just let the craps and 7 & 11 play out as they will...it seems to be about even when all is said and done...so I don't fret it

I will usually play with about $500 for a session. I will drop $300 to start and if I burn that I make a decision if I think there is any chance of the table turning or just walking away. Unfortunately, I will usually drop the other $200 and chase, sometimes with bad results and sometimes with good results. Sometimes emotion takes over, which is the one thing I need to do a better job of controlling.

Last August I played 4 or 5 sessions in Vegas and 1 in Elko or some other town. I did well in Vegas and wrote up a trip report...all in all I made it back home with more money than I left with and helped my daughter out with a few minor financial issues + or - $500...so I was pretty happy with that outcome. This Feb I played 4 sessions in Vegas and lost about $400...while I didn't like the final outcome, it's entertainment and learning that I'm willing to pay for. What happens this August is anyone's guess...

    This is Nicest Supperick,

The come bet has to hit twice to pay off so your much better offs playing the Place bets and taking what table is giving you.
