Is it just me, or do any of you notice that there might me many repeating numbers within a roll, yet still not make the point?
One of my favorite strategies is to play the 6 & 8 and have a ‘floating’ point number via a Come bet.
I know a typical answer here might be the 3 point Molly, and I’m sure this has been discussed before, but does anybody else have a favorite strategy they’d like to share?

My favorite strategy = Head to the Cashier's Cage.
Second best strategy = Head to the nearest exit sign.

The come bet is not my favorite bet...never has been.

However when I am shooting I find I do tend to cluster numbers, maybe 2-3
show up with a particular set more than others. In that case I may place
the two numbers I see most and user a come bet hoping to catch the third.
If I double up on the main two, that's ok to since our table limits are low.

The two I place are not always the 6 & 8 since there are days when the 6 & 8
    are not hitting as much.

Put your money on the numbers you are seeing most often at the time your
playing, not the ones you thought you would see more often as you drove
    to the casino.

Agree. How many times have you seen a number repeat several times and you wish you were on it! Even though the math states otherwise, go with the hot numbers.

A come bet guarantees you will be on the repeating number. As a consolation prize, "last come gets some" if you're wrong or your DI skill takes a hiatus at an inopportune time.

If that isn't aggressive enough for you place to come is the superior alternative. There's no law that says you can't have both a traveled come bet and a place or buy bet on the same number if you get caught with a come bet that doesn't allow you to take odds in the amount you desire.

If I'm deep into a hand and a comeout seven takes the flat I make the odds place bets until a new point is established or I decide to take them down.

For those of us learning,,,,,when you say "takes the flat"...is the "flat" what the come bet is normally called after it travels to a number? Thanks.

This term refers to renting an apartment in the UK.

Flat is also a contract bet.

    Also, the come bet sucks.

Now, you’re an advanced Craps player.

So, no more acting like a beginner.

You go back and check the average take from a craps pit, then tell me about the
    "math" of the game.

What do you mean by this? It's about 15% of drop. Should it be more or should it be less?

I've not seen the drop figures mentioned in various public filings, only the win. Drop isn't shared is it? Thanks for any clarification. BTW, drop is often subjective due to markers vs cash drop. Even the cash drop can be skewed due to today's comp hustlers.

The "drop" itself is never quoted, but is part of factoring for "hold". They're not real specific with the numbers themselves, just with the percentages. :)

If you place a pass line bet with double odds and a 6 & 8 what should your over-all lose
be as a percentage of your play ???

If you play only come bets with triple odds what should the average casino take be????

Even if you only played the field ???

You tell me how a casino gets 15-19% out of that???

NO sir, the math of the game as far as a player is concerned is total BS

the only way to beat the game is to be much smarter than most of us are or throw
the dice in a way that gives you a longer roll than average

If 1 million people make a pass line bet for 10 resolutions the casino theoretical hold will be 14.1%, 1.41% x 10 resolutions. It's called churn.

You can believe that if you want to, but I don't.
The game of craps is played in a whole series of short runs...not the over-all
    long run.

If you go to the table and bet a pass line bet and double odds and a 6 & 8 and the
player throws an immediate 7...…. you lost 100% of your money not 4or 5 %
    of it.

You get 5 guys in a row do that and most guys are out of money and gone...

It does not matter that the guy next to you has a lot more money than you do and
sticks around and hits the 40 roll 30 minutes later.....

the casino take is so high because most players lose all their money way to fast

I was just explaining how the casino hold is calculated. As bad as most people play I'm surprised it isn't more like 50 or 60% hold.
