The usual response to people like Lineaway is: If that works why aren't you rich? Why are you still selling stuff and not at your private island in the Caribbean?

    FredP,

I don’t usually dignify a response to flamer comments such as
the one you posted. However this time I will. You and those
of the same mind cannot see this is a hobby. You wouldn’t
design and build helpful devices or generate material to aid
those needing help free of charge. Why should I. Were I to
offer these things I do for free, many of you would be falling
all over yourselves to take advantage of me without a second
    thought.

There are those such as yourself that cannot do anything that
is original. You feel you must quote someone else’s metaphor
to slander others. I see this board is one of some members that
are fixed in their beliefs about craps. Few to none know anything
about the dice. This is what I endeavor to challenge. But with
the members mind set, they aren’t having any of it.

Sorry to say it’s your loss and not mine. I will continue to lurk
while watching you. Perhaps once in awhile surface to sling
mud as some of you have. I regret there are no open minds
seeking to learn about the most devastating yet sometimes
lucrative major part of craps. It isn’t strategy or math that defeats
you, it’s the dice. It all begins and ends with what they do.

Here is the set-up we have to practice at Harley's house! I help out some of the guys when they are in town if the are struggling with their shooting and betting. Most so-called DI's have a major problem with their betting, their shooting can be fixed pretty damn fast. I like to let them shoot for a while before I tell them what they are doing wrong, and found that by using Linaways target zone detector, it nails it down for the guys a lot faster!

One of the main problems these guys have is they don't have anybody around that is a DI, most guys are what I would call so-called DI's because they do not get the table time they need, they have no help back home and could have been making the same mistakes since they took their first class. Unfortunately one size does not fit all, and you cannot take a cookie-cutter class and expect the best results.

These on axis classes do not teach how to fix things when they're going wrong, they much rather sell refresher courses all the time, and by doing so a membership into the good old boys club. Where these so-called DI's keep taking refresher courses and paying hook-up fees so they can shoot with their heroes! The only problem that is, they still walk away with not knowing what they're doing wrong!

Linaways target zone detector is the perfect practice partner, for someone that doesn't have anybody to help them. Every time you hit the center of the target it gives you a tone, and counts how many times you hit it.

In this video I didn't show what I did to fix dicesetters problems, I try to help the guys out that are members of the board that I help run, I don't charge anything for my help, I'm not into selling anything, I make my money off the craps tables!

Yea,..TDVegas I'm chucking too, every time I make a bank deposit, paid for by the likes Steve Wynn and the rest of the casinos around Vegas!

You can PM linaway over on the board that I help run: http://procraps4u2.myfanforum.org/index.php it's a free board!

I know. Everyone claiming DI is a winner.
Private planes, Ferraris and filget migon for dinner.
    Still chuckling....
Read Richard Munchkin's thesis. It doesn't work. Even Wong has come to admit it.

    TDVegas -

YES - YOU are correct - throwing the dice with a pre-set and a controlled throw - just like card-counting in the game of BlackJack -

    DOES NOT work !

Now go and spread THAT word to ALL the casinos in the world !

They already know it. No need to tell them.
I get it. It's nice to think its true. It makes gamblers feel better. "I can control the outcome"...it's likely used as a crux or excuse to play more than some should. It's psychological. "I can win". Comparing DI to card counting? You can't be serious. Even Wong has come to admit DI is not possible.

As serious as a heart attack !
It is truly unfortunate " Wong " feels that way about DI - NOW - as I recall - HIS name appears in the forward credits or back cover credits lauding praise on more than 1 author of DI books - BUT - in reality what in NOT possible / playable is his BJ count method entitled " Wong Halves " - from his book " Professional BlackJack " !
I surmise from the tone of your response that YOU are encountering a significant shortage of ' winning session(s) ' !

I'm not the one continually BOLDING his words. That usually infers yelling on message boards. Deep breath, serenity now.
It's really not unfortunate that Wong feels that way. It's what people call coming around. That super slo-mo has made many former DI proponents realize it just doesn't work. DI is essentially a crux to justify a gambling habit. Read Richard Munchkins's fine article.

    Again YOU are correct -

    However I have a dilemma -

What do I do with the $4,500 that I won this past weekend playing craps in AC -

BUT - according to YOU and Stanford Wong - I did NOT win - because the game in NOT beatable ?

I am most certain that in your infinite wisdom you will provide me with a most intelligent response !

Now THAT was an intellectual and intelligent response -

For a current resident of Newark - who is unemployed, on drugs, alcoholic and homeless !

Sometimes, TDVegas, it is better to remain silent and thought of being a fool -

Than to type stupid remarks and remove all doubt !

    Sincerely !

You don't have to read Munchkin thesis, I write just about the same thing, I do not make claims to winning all the time, I tell it like it really is, I'm always exposing the fiction that is written about playing craps. But with that said if you do play and do all the research to understand the game and what you are up against you can walk away a winner.

No your not going to win like great fiction writers like the Madprofessor writes about, your not going to be eating in the best restaurants in Vegas every night, and taking all those comp trips to the different casinos around the world, it just doesn't happen, anybody that believes that it does is living in La, La Land.

If that was the case the casinos would ban you, the first thing that the casinos do is to cut off your comps if your winning all the time, if that doesn't give you the big hint that you need, because you can't read the handwriting on the wall, the next thing they do is just ban you!

I use Wong as a way to tell everybody that they are reading fiction, there are plenty of the so-called DI's that think they can win, but there are very few that even stand a chance. These guys take a class and they think they can conquer the world, and then they go on these fiction boards, and make stupid bets like the$204 across only to find out that that great advice turned out to be a death sentence for their bankroll.

Some of these schools got away with all of their great fiction, because nobody had slow-motion cameras like everybody does now. I played on the tables with Stanford Wong, and he had a pretty good shot, but the truth of the matter was he couldn't win all the time either, the same thing goes for me and I spend up to 4 hours a day on a practice table, and I'm in the casinos just about everyday!

I have to give Stanford Wong all the credit the world for coming out and making the statements he has about dice control.

Most so-called DI's will never have the table time they need to get over the psychological effects they will feel in the casinos with all eyes upon, they love to play in large groups, therefore killing any chance they had of winning by never having the dice in their hands, if they are any good. Most of these guys buy-in to, the good old boys society, when they keep taking refresher courses and paying hookup fees to shoot with their heroes.

Here is what I had to say about Stanford Wong, you don't have top me a member to read that thread!

    http://procraps4u2.myfanforum.org/about2300.html&highlight=stanford wong

I'm one of the first guys that will tell you that I know some of the best Di's in this country, and they can not win all of the time, they do not drive super cars and if they are smart they don't even play for comps, I don't,.. if I can't buy it, I'm doing something wrong, I don't want any casino to know who I am, and I do a lot of preaching about giving the casinos a players card!

Now I've never seen $nakeEye$ shooting, he did have an invite to Harley's house the last time he was supposed to come into Vegas, he canceled at the last minute for personal reasons! So I cannot comment on his shooting ability personally, but I heard some good things about him!

The problem with the DI thing, is that there is so much fiction, the casinos actually believed it too! The way I look at it, is if someone is making outlandish post like the great fiction writer The Madprofessor, we own it to everybody to put a stop to it, it hurts everybody that plays the game, hell most of these poor boxmen are getting bad backs from bending over to pick up the dice that just went off the table, because they made the tables so bouncy that they can no longer keep the dice on the table!

Too bad they didn't watch slow-motion videos before they changed the tables, once the dice hit the tables they are just random! If you don't know how to bet they game and when to walk away even if your a so-called DI your going to lose!

The word is getting out there about these great fiction writers, their readership is going down, they now have very few members that are still posting on their fiction boards. The problem is some of these other boards are still not questioning The Madprofessor about all of his outlandish claims on other boards that he does not run. They feel that they need is great fiction to sell their schools!

So here is one of my questions to anybody that is thinking of taking a class, why would you take it from someone that has allows all of this fiction on their craps board?

You still haven't explained how you walk away a winner. Every single bet has a negative expectation. Over time, no one can overcome that. Saying "research and understand" the game meaning what exactly? Short term variance lets the tourist win in Vegas. Short term variance let's the experienced gambler win. Long term results will be negative.

Explain. The problem I have here is most who claim winning strategies or ways to "overcome the house edge" or "beat it long term" never outline how they do it as if they have some big guarded secret. It's always generalizations "ride the wave", "know your opportunities", "dice hierarchy" and other general nonsense. The places were not built to be profitable based on sucker betters. They were built because they know no one can overcome the edge they maintain unless some form of cheating or advantage play comes into play. So, elaborate...how do you over come a defined, mathematical (on every bet) house edge over the long term of playing. One look at the the Linaway video and his "flux capacitor" and my casino exectutive friends would be on the floor rolling.

To say you cannot be a lifetime winner playing craps is just not a true statement. It may be mostly true but not 100% true. I'm confident there are people out there that have played many, many, many years and are winners.

Of course the math says the house has the edge and over time you are destined to lose because of this edge.....but not necessarily. Can you understand this ?

Short term, who has the edge ? You win short term. Why not long term.

The math says you should roll a 7..... 1 in 6 tosses. And son-of-a gun after 20 tosses you still haven't rolled a 7. Yeah but roll the gallopin' domino's 10,000 times and see what happens. What happens is you've tossed ABOUT 1 seven every 6 tosses.....but not exactly. The long term winner is the 'not exactly' guy.

    It happens. It just does.

You can believe it is impossible to be a lifetime winner......but the math ( and common sense ) says it is possible. Rare but possible.

One does not live by math alone. ( I just made that up )

and people win the lottery too, no matter how bad the odds. Strange thing here is there are a lot of lottery winners. can someone be lucky and win while logging 1,000 hours of play? I guess you'll find that rare guy somewhere in the database. Most honest players realize that the general odds the house keeps plays out over the long haul. Short variables always come into play, otherwise it would be nothing more than a deposit to the casino. Winners among regular players?...count me as skeptical to say the least.
