    Jacob -

It is MORE than enough that we have to contend with the nonsense that exudes from superrick and Hardly Horny -

Kindly put a STOP to this OTHER drivel which is popping up on this board suddenly !

OK, several more of those supplement sites should be blocked now. :)

$nake, it's a constant battle...usually those supplement & other ads appear overnight and you could almost set your clock by what time Jacob wakes up and gets to the keybored...usually they are gone by 9am central time the next morning...

There is no foolproof way to defeat spam completely. Jacob does an OUTSTANDING job with the spam on this site IMO...

Also. and i don't know if this would help or not but for anyone monitoring the forum, it might be a good idea to not even "view" what looks like obvious spam

    thanks tom,

I think he just gave me a gentle nudge to update the spam filters for you night owls, or at least that is how I interpreted it, no sweat :)

Truthfully the spam filters catch most of it at this point, I'm pretty pleased with how they are working. You guys using the report system helps immensely too -- I can't keep up with everything that goes on here with out you guys. I'll try to keep an eye out for any spam URLs that keep repeating. If you notice any, feel free to add that in the note.

The spam filters, somehow, are letting the famous gaming author post his weakly spam.

True, you're pretty much the only one that reports them though, and it seems like those threads get a much more positive than negative response in the resulting comments, so I've just let it go. Are they hard for you to spot and ignore before clicking on them?

jacob, the fact that demang has it in for scoblete doesnt mean his weekly link to his column is "spam" lol...

i would have been very disappointed had you removed it...as usual you made the right decision and continue to use excellent judgment running this joint...

in fact i think i'm gonna buy you another beer !

Never miss a chance to kick Scoblete, he deserves more. So he shares these links out of the goodness of his heart? Know this, he is always selling something. I did say weakly.

So Frank's a hustler. I'll wager most successful entrepreneurs are. I picked up on that when we were first introduced -- electronically by the late Madeline Bizub. (We have never met in person, and I consider it my loss.) So what? Obie1 et al are actually selling something and get a pass, but Frank doesn't because -- what? -- he writes about someone you don't think exists and things you don't think happened? Simple solution: learn how to use this forum's Ignore function -- you won't even see his alleged spam threads at all -- and don't read his posts and weakly [sic] articles.

If you can't tell the difference between a Scoblete hustler and Obiewan hustler, I feel for you.
Even if you don't believe in physics, Scoblete hurt other hustlers in many ways. It WAS a cult, that GTC thing. People who disagreed with anything there, were scared, almost like leaving Scientology. So even if you have been around for decades, you still don't know poop about Frank.

so you absorbed all this, demang, and you have let us know your opinions and thoughts on the matter...that's great! that's what this forum is all about...i like many your posts...now it is up to ME and all the rest reading it as to what to think about it...what to make of it...

if there are hustlers--and of course there are--anyone with a modicum of intelligence can discern that, absorb it, and think for themselves...for the suckers that come under its sway---my opinion it is a tiny percentage---that is sad but their own responsibility...

don't misunderstand: outright fraud is a different matter...but i am not seeing much of that...scoblete might be misguided in some things or puts forth fiction as fact but he is not committing fraud in the least...i am in agreement with much of his stuff too...you are free to choose whether to buy anything from him or not...

silencing opposition is not the answer...debating ideas and making countering posts like your one above is the answer...

    Freedom is the Answer

I guess ignorance is bliss, but I prefer to know as much as possible to help with my "Strategic Investments" Especially the enemy, whether that be casino or author.
