Ok, I've figured out the distances for my practice rig for a 12 ft and 14 ft table at Stick 1 positions.

My question is, how can I tell what size table I'm approaching, just by looking at it at the casino?

Is there a way to tell by the chip trays? Like how many trays extend out from the stickman?

    Thanks.

    Simple -

There are 3 tell tale obvious signs / differences between the 12' and 14' tables, especially in AC -

#1 - 14' tables have 4 full length chip trays to the stickman's left and right side, whereas the 12' tables will have a short chip rail at the nearest player positions on either side of the stickman -

#2 - On 14' tables the center prop layout area is noticably wider ( from table end to table end ) -

#3 - The landing area behind the pass line is deeper on the 14' as oppossed to closer in on the 12' tables -

The most obvious is the length of the chip rails in #1 above -

AC has a mix of 12' and 14' tables in some of the casinos - ( Tropicana, AC Hilton and Borgota ) -

but most ( Showboat, Golden Nugget, Trump Taj Mahal, Trump Plaza, Ceaser's , Resorts and Bally's Park Place ) have only 12' tables as of last weekend !

    BEK -

The Borgota has two craps pits which form a L -

The next time that you are there , take particular notice of the 2 tables in each pit which are closest to each other where the L is formed -

These 4 tables - 2 in each pit are the 12 footers -

The other 8 tables - 4 in each pit are the 14 footers -

The 14' tables are furthest away from where the 2 pits form the L -

In AC there are only 12' and 14' tables -

    There is nothing else -

    There are no 8' , 10' nor 16' tables there -

    Furthermore -

    With this knowledge -

Take a very close look at the layouts and chip racks of these 2 different sized tables -

Burn that information into your mind -

And you will never , ever again be uncertain if the table length is 12' or 14 ' -

And good luck at the tables !

Thanks, SnakeEyes. I'll keep these clues in mind next time I'm at an unfamiliar casino and run into a table I'm just not sure about.

    BEK -

You and I have never met face to face -

We have conversed publicly and privately on this forum -

    I like you -

I might even even go as far as to say that I love you -

Which universally - that is an acceptable remark - and I mean it from the bottom of my heart -

Linda and I were at the Claridge the weekend before last -

The Claridge is going to become a memory probably by the end of this month -

Not the Hotel busines portion - but the Casino aspect -

The Claridge has 1 12' table which is parallell to the boardwalk -

    It is a 12' table -

IT HAS A TRIPWIRE CENTERFIELD RUNNING FROM STICK TO BOXMAN -

    Check it out yourself -

Or anyone else that thinks I am a jerk-off and have no inkling as to what I am talking about !

I spefically avoided the Claridge from my prior post because when Linda were there last weekend we were told by security - The Claridge is on the way out -

BEK - I have never - ever lied or mislead anyone on this or any other forum in the past -

I have no intention / inclination of ever doing that -

My handle remains the same on all forums -

The only difference being I sometimes substitute the $ for the S -

Trust me - although I might make a mistake or 2 regarding the for/to payout ratio -

Those are minor discrepencies in the overall scheme of the " game " -

As I have said numerous times past - the casinos and most people might look upon BJ and/or Craps as a game -

    That being said -

It is no " game " to me !
