    Hi Folks-

I received an offer in the mail from Total Rewards- allegedly for $99 a chartered flight from my home airport, ground transportation and hotel accommodations in AC for 3 days. From the small print, it looks like there would be an additional $35 administrative fee...but 135 for a 3 day trip to AC seems too good to be true...is it? Has anyone else ever taken advantage of a TR offer like this? Any advice?

Never have been to Atlantic City but I've taken several to Laughlin.

    Questions to ask.

Verify, if there is a resort fee or not. If you have a diamond or higher card you won't be charged the resort fee regardless.

Ask who the airline carrier is. Sun Coast does an excellent job and they have been flying the Laughlin charter the past few years.
Allegiant sucks. Charters are the bottom of their pecking order. If they are short planes or crew you will get shafted with a delay or cancellation.

Ask if it's a direct flight or if there will be stops on the way to pick up more passengers.

    Have fun and win lots.

I have never received an offer for RFB plus transportation, but I have encountered players who have been offered such junkets. To the responses above I would add to check for any minimum amount of action you must give the offering casino. For example, is there a "front end load", an amount you must buy in for upon arrival to purchase special non-redeemable chips?

never heard of it as a front end load, but I do know someone who was given a bill for flight and hotel after he took up an offer to vegas and never went to a table.
I guess its all in the fine print, like we want our 4 hours of action a day for room and air comps.
he never paid a nickel but never heard or got another comp from the casino

Im guessing Mohegan sun owns resorts in AC? Ive been getting comp offers from resorts for years, and when I used to go AC, Id get my comped room in shitboat or taj and take the comped room in resorts for any friends who wanted it. I never played in resorts, but still got one or two night offers(weekdays only)

I've known people who got a comped suite (Venetian) and went to the SLS to play $5 blackjack. They contacted him and basically said "get on the tables or you are being charged for the room".

Amazing. How did they get a comped suite in the first place? Certainly not playing $10 bj at the Venetian!

I believe what happened is that he had been comped for his play before and had received yearly free room offers. He fell on some harder times before his last trip and his $25-$50/hand blackjack play went to $5. Venetian had no $5 tables...so he walked to the SLS (Might even had still been Sahara) to play.

He told me that they contacted him numerous times to "get it going".

He knew he was scamming out of playing. Didn't care. I don't think he was ever invited back on comp.

Usually those junkets require so much time on table win or lose
and you must sign a voucher at the table for chips
At least that was the requirements at one time

TR has never done that but I haven't been on one for about 8 months so it would be a good idea to ask.

More than once I've taken the charter to Laughlin, rented a car the next morning and drove to Vegas until the night before the return trip.

The first charter I took was to Elko Nevada in the mid 90's. On that one you had to show them that you had $300 on you before they'd let you board the plane. lol.

when taj majhal was a hopping place in AC, I used to get every night comped.
8 out of 10 times I could get a suite upgrade for free during week, or pay 25-50 dollars for suites.
those were the suites at the ocean end or the city facing suites, I doubt they were the high roller suites, but they had to be 1200-1400 sq feet with several TVs, 2 bathrooms, living room area, dining area, even a balcony. (I once posted pics here when I saw ivanka take off in the trump helicopter. I used to use my leatherman to jar open the balcony door lock so I could go out and use the balcony.)

why did I bring that up?

because even though smaller than taj suites, the standard room at venetian was nicer than the suites in Taj, although only one bathroom, but bilevel, nice living room area, separate bedroom area, tremendous bathroom, all the amenities,
if the guy was getting a suite at venetian, he must have given them some pretty slick action.
My 10 dollar 50 odds still gets me offers from venetian for 3-4 free nights, but only when they want to give them away, not when I want them.
my last trip they wouldn't budge, I had free room offers up till the week before, they refused to budge and give me 2 out of 4 nights free, (and so we ended up staying the entire stay in sunset station, just as well with the shooting that week and all)
Vegas is very easy for comps. only problem is getting there if you don't live there.
as soon as its off season, the comps roll in.
Laughlin is so easy to get comps, anyone that walks into any of the casino and puts a few quarters into any machine gets free offers, at least we do.
    reno also,
I played 15 minutes at aquarious, and I get 2-3 night comp offers, also free play, match play and discount 10 dollars off food purchases. but again, only when they aren't busy Im guessing, because they limit the days.

I don't play for comps, but never refuse a free offer if Im there, or going there.

firekeepers stopped sending me free offers, shame, I might be there in 2 weeks.

Station casinos seem to have went to a two tiered comp system. I get offers from Red Rock now but I gave them a lot of action the past two trips and ratholed chips whenever I could.

The last trip we stopped in Green Valley Ranch. Wife and I were playing Blackjack together. When we cashed out she gave me her chips and they were all cashed in under my card. She's getting room and food offers, I'm not getting anything from them.

I still get good offers from Aquarius in Reno and I don't think I've been there since 2014. lol.

I believe it was their standard room....which are like suites. I can remember it vividly that he was lamenting getting called in his room and told they wanted him on the gaming floor with the implied threat that they would charge him for the room.

This guy didn't care. Big smoker. He was calling for cigarettes and anything else he could get away with. Then he slipped away to the Sahara (I think it was before the SLS) and played $5 blackjack.

I don't know whether they followed thru on their threat...but he hasn't been back to Vegas since then.

On comps...I'll take what they give me. Station Casinos is sick with their liquor giveaways. I must get about 40-50 bottles of wine, gin, vodka, tequila, rum per year...you name it. Some of it top shelf liquor too. I'm really not a drinker other than an occasional beer...but I take whatever they give. Why not? Give some away.

I still marvel at the comp offer that tomp got after playing at Red Rock one time for a couple hours. 3 nights free, play chips and food comps. No resort fee. Complimentary shuttle. I believe Mssthis was extended the same offer.

Tomp would send me PM's "got another 3 night offer from RR"...

We were both kind of dumbfounded with how generous the comp was.
