Pending confirmation from locals, heard ats disappeared! Good news for me, I can head back.
I went there once table was full and ended up playing single deck bj and did pretty good on that. Didn’t stay at treasure bay very long though. Went back to hard rock. Dealer told me the one guy shooting at the crapless table had the longest roll there. He was like a guy still living the 80’s hard rock life. He played air drums in between tosses. He didn’t set any records that night. Like to get back to Biloxi sometime.
ATS gone, confirmed by Bobby Bones.
That's funny? DeMango loves the ATS bet.
Wrong as usual Daffy. DeMango doesn't like tables with the ATS bet. It's a time waster and disrupts the flow of the game. I don't like it either. Given a choice I won't play at a table where a lot of ATS and middle bets are being made. They slow the game down too much.
I thought DeMango played at tables with four or less people.. What difference does the AT & S bet make. Argument does not hold water. G loves that bet.Wish we had it!
BFS, that's the real DeMangos favorite bet. At least I now know who's posting in his place, TD. I knew it wasn't him, no way in hell.
So does the "real" DeMango.
He and I both try to do that. Problem is if we're playing at a place where people know us, they appear out of nowhere when they see DeMango or I at a table. Most places let you make an ATS bet after the roll has started if nobody is on it yet which is just one more fly in the ointment.
Stepping up to an empty table and 5 more people have showed up before you can even get bought in is discouraging for a skilled player.
I understand why G likes to play the ATS bet sometimes and that is his choice. Neither one of us usually make the bet if it's just the two of us making early morning hit and runs up and down the strip as we're playing a different game then or just scouting.
It definitely slowed down the game Friday night...when the crew had to pay the All All 4 times on the table I was playing at.
Congrats. Hopefully you ended the night well ahead.
One persons pleasure being another persons pain is one of the things that makes this game so intriguing. If you're enjoying yourself and happy with your play that's about the only thing that really matters in the end.
This play doesn't really slow the game down when it's being paid, it slows it down when people and the crew, are assing around when making the bet, and positioning the money. The payoff doesn't take long, even if 4 people were on it when it hit. It's a "sucker bet", but I think it adds some excitement to the game, even for those not playing it. It also seams to get the dealers a lot of action, so I think they like it, but the guy in the seat hates it, because the dealers keep waking him up, to turn a disc over.
Dave, your slipping, MP would not approve. The ATS kills your GWAG by not letting you roll sevens on the CO. It is a time waster, all the action returning. Plus a lotta people hedging the seven, increasing their linebet.
But you are right, four or more, out the door. Unless they be darksiders, that don’t shoot.
Yes forgot about the 7 on the CO kills it
DeMango my ass, you ain't DeMango. Whenever the "REAL" DeMango talked about the ATS he always said some shit about using a set that produces the high/low numbers. He also said that it was the "most fun bet in craps", which might actually be right, but I don't play it. So knock off the bullshit, and tell us what happened to the real DeMango.
You end up hedging the hedges. I end up with a $35 line bet to hedge the 4-2-4 on the ATS, plus profit for a winner, and throw in $5 craps check to hedge crap. Idiocy. All this on a $5-10 table!
So get this, roll a seven, make $20 on a $35 bet!
But wait, there’s more! If you make a point or two, good chance you’ve made 2-3 horn numbers. You do NOT want a seven on the comeout, so there goes the GWAG again!
My how you talk...your terrible
Only when it is appropriate. So STFU.
yeah, thankgod, I was about to cancel my trip to Biloxi because of this
You don't play much at a live craps table with ATS bonus bets in a real casino, do you?
When any side of the ATS hits at Rivers Casino (Des Plaines, IL), the game stops for @5 minutes while payouts, return bets, and other items (e.g., new bets, new buy ins, color ups) occur. And that's with an experienced & very good crew at the table. It's enough of a momentum killer that I'll often turn off my bets for a few rolls when play resumes unless it's a come out roll.
