    Fellow Craps Players,

I was invited to a “neighborhood craps” game. Here are the rules:

    1. Everyone wears masks.
    2. Pass line bets are min $5 and max $25; cash only in exchange for chips.
    3. Max payout per player per roll is $250
    4. No limit on losses
    5. Everyone wears gloves; including the shooter- no exceptions.
    6. Game closes if House suffers >$10k losses in a night
    7. 10 players per table
    8. $1 beers
    9. Must sign up manually on door
    10. Game opens at 6pm; closes at 2 am.

    question: should I go there??

Trust no one.......make sure you know how to figure the payouts when you get paid......see which way the dice are flowing; watch the game for a while..........you should strongly consider being a don't player............i'd go but be on your toes.

No. Reason being is that low maximum bet gives you no chance of walking away from the game a big winner.

We do not gamble simply to gamble. We gamble with the hope of making a big win.

Do not worry about your health playing street craps with your "neighbors". Just insist that the two players closest to you look like this

    This is Barney

Wear a mask at home games like one of Mr Dave Guacamole and the LIDs friend. I would also advise you to bring protection in case you get lucky.

I wouldn't be interested in playing a game that limited my winning potential but not my losing. No thanks.

Oh, I'm pretty sure there is a limit to your losing potential. :) Too damned risky, I'd pass on this.

so who doesn't think people are going to go back to casinos once they open?

way back in the mid to late seventies I used to go to underground games ran by the local "mob"
ok, I don't know what to call the guys who ran the games, but Im guessing if I won too much I would be left in a trunk of a car and brought out to the weeds.
6 and 8 paid even money,
odds were a bit more in house favor, I don't recall now.
it was usually run in a church or synagogue, the old ladies would be upstairs playing bingo, and downstairs, in the basement or in the gym if a school was attached, would be a mini casino, mostly cards, but one craps table.
Mostly in places like Kew gardens queens, one place was in Brooklyn in a yeshiva academy.(that where I played the most, the odds were better)
they served beverages, non alcohol, and finger sandwiches, all free, but tips were expected.
2 or 3 poker tables, pretty big stakes, but I stuck to 2 dollar craps tables.
My fil turned me on to them, and he said when I knocked on the door, just say Joe sent me. Noone questioned me after that.

I don't think I ever took more than 100 bucks off the house, never tried to if I was lucky. wasn't advised, nor smart to win too much at those places.
    but pleasant enough.

if you know whos running the place and trust them, with both your money and your health, I don't see why not.

You know what they say. For every smoking hot chick out there there's at least one guy that's tired of f...ing her.

I wanna get tired of her.

Maximum $250 payout per player per roll with a $10k house loss limit? Mate that sounds like these guys are just starting out let alone having a 20 person waiting list per night. If that was the case the house loss limit should be up to $100k by now or more.

    Who invited you anyway?

Pretty much my thoughts. Sounds like a sting operation to me.

Since you posted on a public forum you should probably not do it. Between the risk of getting shot at the game because you posted it, and the risk of a Karen like the duck ratting you out, it isn't worth the risk.

When I was in the service during those times when time was long and money was short, we'd play spades or quarter quarter pitch and had a lot more fun than I've ever had in a casino.

There very well might be. I wouldn't be surprised. And - until recently - there were thousands of people slithering up to play 6:5 blackjack in Vegas. I won't be at either table.

I've got feeling that everybody at this craps game, was wearing a mask, before there was a contagion. :)
