The game either takes hold...or doesn't, as it relates to various casinos. Here in Vegas, it has a strong base of players at certain casinos...and not so much at others. I've seen it installed and pulled. Since its a rented game....very easy to give it a try and/or pull the plug.

Casinos would probably smile if they could pull every table game off the floor and put in a slot machine or non employee game. They also know they need diversity...husbands on tables and wives on slots. Or, vice versa;)

The bubble will continue to be an evolving game with updated versions. I won't worry.

Vegas and the burbs will always have plenty of bubble craps. Other venues you never know. Often times in smaller venues it's internal politics or one person with too much power making decisions that may or may not be in the best interest of the casino and the public.

The interblock machine at Prairie Meadows was removed mainly because the slot employees didn't like dealing with it and their manager is one of those who doesn't care about the customer. All he cares about is being able to set at his desk all day undisturbed.
Even so, enough of a ruckus was raised that they replaced it with an Azure a few months later.

Many of the regular craps players here have readily adapted to playing the bubble too.

The people whining about the bubble now are descendants of the buggy whip manufacturers from over a hundred years ago who were steadfast in their belief that the automobile was only a fad that would never replace the horse.

The biggest issue with bubble craps is maintenance. I think the belief is that these machines are installed and take care of themselves. While true to a certain point.....like a home, like a car, like a bathroom....if you don’t commit $$ to maintenance, they tend to fall apart.

My real only gripe has been touch screens malfunctioning, bubble pushers sticking or not working right, card readers broken or the casino taking too long between cleaning the glass and putting in new dice. Frayed felt can be another issue.

So I get a letter from the dealership stating “their customers” no longer want the hassle of “taking care” of their cars....

I assume meaning ANY maintenance issues....”so come on down, we’ll buy your vehicle and set you up with a new one”.

I guess this is the new sales pitch to trade in your car before it even requires its first oil change. LOL.

No idea. I was kind of amazed by the Aruze electronic table with the proprietary table surface that was essentially a giant LCD screen.

So...who knows what is being cooked up in their workshops. I can tell you one thing....they aren't looking to update the regular craps table.

No question the slot attendants and techs don't want to deal with the game. You can always tell....they have a look on their face like "not again" if something goes wrong.

Resets are common and most of the tech issues involve simply opening the terminal and slamming it back down for a reset....which tells you their level of expertise in fixing an issue.

Casinos get greedy.....they installed a game that eliminates 4 employees, but then also thought the game would run itself. Lot of moving parts, software, cleaning needs to be done on a regular basis.

This isn't "set it and forget it."

as one can see, the big A is really moving along with hotel and lobby area. I spoke with some hardhats and suits, as I was coming in, they were just standing around, so I asked them a few questions, they didnt seem to mind. they are going to close the current casino entrance once the hotel is finished, it will be more like a large casino hotel, walk into lobby, casino off to right, hotel straight ahead....Im guessing they are preparing for full licensed casino. I asked about surface parking , doesnt look like there will be much, maybe another lot...they didnt seem to talk about that....I asked if they would like to tear down the raceway, they smiled. what a waste of real estate. theres plenty of surface parking on that side of the raceway, a bit far to walk to casino.

so the new bubbles there, the dice inside are only 1.5 to 2 inches. Bubble is very small, and new screen didnt have one feature I loved. the button to see previous 100 rolls or so was gone, now to view previous rolls there was a slide type scale on left side, showed the previous 2 dozen rolls or so..I didnt count.

I took out 300 in twenties, feeding them in is tedious, when I got to 140 in, I placed 30 on 6. Hardway six count was up to nearly 100, so 5 onto hard 6
the point of 8 came out that roll, so before I got anymore money in, I put 15 on line, I think it was a nine rolled after a 12, 11, 7, something like that. still only with 160 in, I put 50 odds on nine and 30 on 8.
I managed to get up to 200 in, the machine just kept hitting numbers, my numbers.20 or so rolls later I was done. I won 313 dollars and change, still holding 100 in twenties in my hand, never needed to even push them in....a good day. once again, the walk from car to bubble took me 4 times as long as my play.
I was very tempted to stay and try another roll, but I resisted.
gambling is like sex.....as you get older you exhibit more control. (at least I do)
i figured, if everyone with 200 bankroll made 300 profit, we would close down the casinos....
Ive been having some good runs lately....Im very happy.

I texted my wife and told her I played for 6 minutes, she said how much did you lose, I told her, nope, I won and its for you to buy fabric, she said she likes the way I think.
(im not really going to give it to her for fabric, but it was a nice score for 5 minutes.)

I put the top down, drove home, got my grilled chicken salad for lunch, again, I love winning. makes one feel good, special, like the craps gods are rooting for me lately.
I took some pics......oh, dont ya just love that you can press the place bet on 6 in 10 dollar increments, and then get paid exact amount.....46.66......gotta luv the bubble at least for that....

asian woman next to me, was giving me some kind of strange looks when she sat down next to me, exact same time....like checking me out....but then I realized why, she was betting screen max, 1500 or 2000 each roll, she had all black, and man, she hit that 4 a few times on that one roll. She also left right after that roll. I glanced over at her screen, it was nice seeing her screen pop up and say, you win 1023.00, she was hitting it hard. good for her.....Not sure why she chose seat next to me, we were the only ones at that bubble. the other bubble 50 feet away, one person at it....casino was really empty...with all the construction going on, who knows.

big A is going to be a massive casino once they get hotel finished and table games. 6000 slots, and entire floor of table games...right next to JFK airport.
Im sure all the tables when they open will be 25-50 min, the machines are 15 dollar min bets.

oh, another shitty thing they did on the bubble, if you bet 15 on pass line, a required min bet on pass line, you could bet anything else on place, now its 15 min on place also besides the min table bet of 15.....dont like that...but thats life.
sorry for rambling on, good morning, 3 cups of coffee, Im hyped up, my pressure my be up there also.

Im programmed to start my bets on 6 or 8 if Im place betting at 30.....I keep forgetting when I play here I can bet 15 to start....tough to reprogram my brain to lower bets on 6 and 8....

and on this interblok bubble, there is a round lit up disc the same size as aruze in the same place and you can press it in, but it doesnt do anything, Im wondering if interblok is eventually going to let the players pop the dice. I kept pressing it but it just kept lighting up and then going off.

worth a mention, there are still card slashers that want your action on their card...as soon as I sat down and put my first few twenties in an older man stood there waving his card in front of me motioning he wanted to insert his card on my terminal. I ignored him but he got closer in my space, so I said, ok, 10 dollars, give me 10 dollars....the asian woman next to me said something to him in whatever language and he walked away. fuck him....you want to jinx me, 10 dollars....

A few months back I played one like that at Northwood Iowa. If you're the only person playing and you have a pass line bet the button works but it doesn't "pop" the dice. It just starts the table vibration.

I thought that one still had the last X number of rolls graph on the display but I can't remember for sure. I should of taken notes.

The bubble is on its way to hell, in a hand basket. I doubt if they can make this very fixed game, appear "not fixed", but I'm sure they'll keep trying.

interesting you say that, Ive noticed less and less craps tables open everywhere, and more and more bubbles installed everywhere.
maybe just a downtrend in interest in any craps games, live bubble or electronic

No. The bubble I'm familiar with is getting no action at all. The tables seem to be doing fine. Even if it was "straight" which it is not, it just doesn't look straight. Even when you win, it still "looks" fixed.
Anybody ever find out why Mississippi, won't allow the bubble? There has to be a reason.

I find bubbles in various states.everywhere, places that I play that have both live and bubble, ...Im talking places like Nevada.....big casinos, one craps table going most of the day, a bubble 20 feet from it...reno, las vegas, Henderson, casinos in Michigan, Maryland live(hybrid), foxwoods,(one bubble), racinos in various places...the bubble is not going anywhere, some casinos may cancel lease on them, but others will take new leases and a lot of casinos will keep them along with live tables.
I once went to a place called imokolee , something like that in the middle of the everglades in florida, no live craps tables, card tables yes, no live craps, but they had a bubble.

what I find interesting also, is places like Delaware park, where they have a few electronic roulette and blackjack, maybe some electronic poker games also(not vp), yet no bubble as of my last trip. Ill be there again in 4-5 weeks, I wouldn't be surprised if they installed a bubble by then.

Yeah well, this sort of makes cents. :D If there were no live craps games, then a bubble might work, for a while. The seems to appeal to two "types" by my observations. One, is the complete novice, that has absolutely no clue as to what they are doing, or trying to do. Two, old guys, no offense, that bet every number on the layout. I think the latter, are converted roulette players. :) I used to see, teams of two, playing the Doey/don't, but they don't seem to be around anymore. At one time, it was hard to find a seat at "prime time", but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. No, this thing has really worn its welcome out, everybody is snubbing it. I can only hope that I played a part, in its demise, because it is a well deserved death.

How many regular craps tables do you count? I know of several casinos that have 8-10 craps tables, two is the most bubbles I've seen in any casino, and, nobody was playing those two bubbles. I did not have to question why, I know why, and so do you. :)

That last statement is really interesting. "You won't worry"? Why would we think otherwise. If the game completely disappeared, what skin would that be off your ass?
