can't say that i know jack shit about DI tosses or techniques to which the rest of your post refers (nor-i don't think- have i ever commented here about such things...claims of efficacy, sure, but not the ins and outs of DI tosses per se)

<<<got it, lid?...i realize that the usual multitude of clauses and sidetracks and confusions in my sentences do cause you some difficulty --- i too really wish i could help myself <sigh> and figger out how to write more clearly and better...frankly you might be a better judge of any success in that than most on here>>>

but, you know, your quote above, even if just taken in isolation or out of your context, ie in general, i ALSO think is true...tdb's somewhat unique thought process has provided me with some real insights, especially with regards to life in general...

it is too bad however that his self-esteem is such that he erroneously perceives himself as under personal attack or being called a liar etc...at his age i fear that there will be no overcoming that here but in so-far vain attempts to dissuade him of his misguided perceptions and name-calling. it does waste alot of bandwidth and often just sidetracks discussion of the real ideas...

iow too much noise, it is.

Welcome aboard, a good place to start is to go to your local Library and take out some books about craps. You can learn a lot of different things about this game.

Also, go to a casino and play at a minimum table with simple bets to start out and learn the game.

Welcome to the forum Zeus. There are some really sharp people here that know the game back and forth...One thing that isn't in short supply here is opinions. Getting started is pretty easy, Google craps and see where it goes. A good book is an excellent investment...you'll find recommendations elsewhere on this forum. I'm retired now but for 35 years I taught newbies the basics as a dealer...and one of the first things I told new guys to check out is a probability chart that covers the random roll of a pair of dice and hopefully figure out the TRUE odds. Once a newbie has that figured out me can understand which bets are best for him against the built-in house edge. Take small steps in your craps education, but learn the subjects fully.
