I gave them 600 on my way out, but I got 520 of it back on my way back through. They raised the limit to $5/600. The table opens at 6PM on weekdays and 10AM on weekends.
To me, that's almost like winning, making that nice comeback! Thanks for the info, I hope to be going through there soon.
Looks like I'm going to join a small group on 6/30 for a bus daytrip to Foxwoods. It is a weekday, but I think it will be fun
IF - it is the HUSBAND trying to teach the WIFE - I totally concur - Especially if the teacher is ME - MR. NO PATIENCE ! ALSO - I can list a MULTITUDE of Exceptional Shooters , Dealers and Pit Bosses - WHO constantly say MY wife shoots BETTER than I do - And it was I who taught HER - Go Figure ! $...eE..$
My wife will not play and just like your wife boy can she shoot. She hates the smoke in the casinos. Yes, I did teach my wife to shoot craps but didn't when it came to guns.
SR MY wife does not play either, but what she can do is what she did last week, and that is not pay attention. she back washed our pool and killed and 200 sq. ft of my neighbors lawn...... twodicebilly
Are there any smoke-free casinos in Las Vegas that have a craps table? Or at least a section of the casino that is smoke-free and also has a craps table? Illinois bans smoking in casinos (and most other public accessible buildings). Horseshoe (Hammond, IN) located just across the border has a "smoke-free" craps table on the casino floor and also has smoke-free sections of slot machines, but even if I'm playing at the smoke-free craps table, I can still tell I'm in a casino where smoking is generally permitted.
Heh, remember the old Empress? They used to have the lion statues in the front ( or was it the sphinx?). Forgot what they changed the name ton but as you are walking in they used to have that smoking room right off to the left? Of course I am speaking of many years ago, but if memory serves me correctly, you had the eatery on the right hand side before you took the escalator down to the Craps tables?
I only went to Empress Casino Joliet a handful of times. It was just really inconvenient to get to from the northside of Chicago. About the only thing I remember is the distinctive, if not out-of-place entrance. If memory serves, Horseshoe bought out Empress (Hammond, IN & Joliet, IL) in the late 90s. Empress Casino Joliet closed in 2009 after a fire gutted the entertainment part. Can't say I miss the Egyptian theme (in Illinois??? perhaps downstate in...Cairo). The current Hollywood Casino Joliet facility opened later that year. Restaurants are still housed in a separate land-based facility leading to the riverboat. Penn National Gaming did a nice job rehabbing the facility; the sports bar is an excellent place to watch a game. However, Harrah's also has a casino 10-15 minutes away in downtown Joliet, which is where I go when I'm down in that part of Chicagoland.
