Last night the wife and I drove to a casino. Both newbies to the seen and had a great time. I’ve been reeding up on dice control and wondered if there was anything to it, so I set out to find a control shooter and it didn’t take long. This guy probably made a couple G in about 45 min. Very impressive shooting skills. He shot all the way across a 12 ft table and used the 3v on the dice. Guess I had better look at this a little closer.

Yeah, I’ve began studying up on the theory myself. It seems to make sense, but I won’t believe anything until either I can practice enough to know with certainty that I can either do it or not do it, or if I see with consistency another player who’s able to do it. My intuition tells me that the math makes sense, if you can somehow influence the dice to the point where, over several thousand rolls, you throw even a little less sevens than your supposed to- the house edge would be quickly reduced if proper bets and bankroll management is applied. (if you can perform in the casino as well as you do on your practice rig in a controlled environment)

I did see a gentleman at the casino the other night throwing from SL 1 (I was at the end of the table he was throwing towards) using a “3V” set and what appeared to be a somewhat consistent throwing motion have a nice long hand. However, after he finally 7’d out, he took off. Therefore I’m unable to conclude if it was skill or luck considering, after all, that the next guy was a random roller throwing with no dice set or consistent motion and he did just as well. I’ve read some books, now I need to practice.
