In the fairy tale / parable that I learned, it was the goose that laid the golden eggs.  I’m kinda hazy on the details but somebody got greedy and killed the goose so that they could get all of the golden eggs at one time.  Of course, there was no supply of eggs because the goose created each egg each day.

The golden calf that I’m aware of is the one that the impatient tribes of Israel created and worshiped while Moses was off discussing policy issues with the burning bush. It was destroyed when Moses came back from the mountain.

The golden goose parable teaches one to take small steady rewards in place of trying for everything all at once and ending up with nothing.

Thanks for clearing that up.  I got a little confused there, but after 12 years of Catholic Education, you would think that I would have gotten that one right.  Maybe to many hits on the knuckles from all those Nuns…...

I had Sisters of Charity in grammar school - had the Irish Christian Brothers in High School - longed for the wooden ruler on edge in lieu of the ” strap ” or fists used by the ” boys in black ” -

And check your spelling between ” Maybe and many ” - you are due one knuckle buster !

Mtarcpa- yea because on the come out I hit a “any seven” 5 out o 6 times or so not a hopping 2,5 or 4,3 or 6,1 I mostly hit the 4,3 so may b I could try to hop it but really the only thing I ever hop are hard ways when I’m throwing perfect on axis using hard way set

If you use the 4/3 - 5/2   ALL 7 set - why not hop those two 7’s - pays 15-1 - you will either lose $2 - or win $13 with the bet still up -

That’s what I do in AC when I fell I’m on a roll !  And put the dealer’s on your back - goes a long, long way !

For me it was the 2V set. I was buying the 4/10 plus PL and odds bet but initially I didn’t place bet anything. I had the dice for about 27 rolls and hit quite a few fours and tens plus the point #. I wish I would have been more adventurous and covered all the #‘s from the begining I would have killed it.

Most people believe that the 2V set produces only 4’s and 10’s -

However, in reality, with both dice on-axis - it produces an equal distribution of ALL of the box numbers and the 7 -

Which is 2 of each -

After the CO roll - which Linda and I set the 4/3 - 5/2 ALL 7 set - we use the 2V for our point cycle rolls - I bet the outside #‘s and Linda works the 6 and 8 -

You would be suprised at the amount of 6’s and 8’s that the 2V produces - in addition to the outside #‘s !

Yeah to be honest I hit 6&8 regularly with that set. I’d have to say I hit those two numbers the most with that set.

thr 6 and 8 have the second most possible combinations (most if counted together as a set)... so yeah, its going to be hard to come up with any set that won’t involve them.  the 2-V is simply concentrating on the 4-10 as the 3-v concentrates on the 6-8.  But simply because there are so many of the, the 6-8 are still in there too.
