This past Sunday was rainy - could not golf - told the wife on Sat. - we’re going to Mt. Airy on Sunday -

We arrived approx. between 2 and 3 PM -

Scoped out the craps tables -

Two $10 min tables open - the third table was closed -

Watched for about 1/2 hour to 45 min. -

Wanted to get a feel for what the shooters were doing -

I was unimpressed as a rightside bettor -

A lot of potential for the Darksiders -

I get involved at table end - position next to the base dealer -

I am watching two shooters who were shooting from stick left position -

They were setting the ” 3V ” dice set -

However- they were not setting it with consistancy -

By that I mean simply this -

They were focused on the 3V orientation on the top of the dice -

They were not aware;  apparently ; that there is are two ways to set for the ” 3V ” formation -

The ” accepted ” version is to set so that the 6’s and 8’s are all around the dice faces -

The ” other 3V ” version is when you have 3-3 0n top and 4-4 on bottom - BUT you have 6-5 and 1-2 on the other faces -

This became quite obvious / apparent to me while observing these guys setting the dice -

Their primary focus was on the ” 3V ” at the top faces of the dice -

They had no clue as to what was on the front and back faces of the dice -

These guys threw with consistancy -

Made quite a few $$$$ off their rolls -

They on the other hand - cleaned up - kicked a$$ -

I was impressed with the outcome of their tosses -

I was unimpressed with the ” professionialism ” of their dice setting techniques !

There are, indeed, two ways to set a 3V.  However, it all depends on if they were just trying to avoid the 7-out (which apparently they were successful at) or if they were actively tring to hit 6 and 8.  Don’t know how that turned out.

They most definately succeeded at both -

But as I said -

They were more concerned with the ” Face Value ” of their sets - as oppossed to the overall / bigger picture -

In the final analysis - I guess it does not matter overall -

The table won - we had a good time - pressed a lot of bets a lot of times - lrft a little too much on the table after the Big Red showed its ugly head !

All things ( good and bad ) must come to an end sometime !

I was warned about dice setting in Bally’s LV in Feb.  I was up around 2200 in about 1hr and the pit boss warned me and a friend about setting the dice.  He said they called him
from upstairs and said me and a buddy of mine were slowing the game down to much and needed to “just grab the dice and throw them”  ahhaha i was like yeah sure.  It was like
3am and there were like 2 other players.  Then the scum bag tried to give me his real estate business card hahah.  I called it a night afterwards but still when you are winning they are
on you.  Just block it out and shoot away…......
