jcrjmr - 10 October 2011 12:59 PM

Im up for it. We have a group that shoot from SR1, SR2, and SL4. We like hard tabels, Live in DC and will go to AC.
BTW: We practice 2-3 times per week going on almost 2 years now. I still dont understand when people post SRR’s of 8+ if thats the case i still have another 1-1/2 years to go. Just a bunch of guys that like to throw them bones.

jcrjmr

Welcome to the board.

Don’t worry just yet about an SRR of 8plus whatever.  There are really 2 types of SRR, the first one what we do “live” in the casino and the 2nd one we do on our practice rigs at home.  Heck there are nights when I toss 40 in a row at home.  Means nothing really until I walk up to a real table.

I would try to keep track of live rolls if possible.  It’s almost impossible if you are alone, but in a group it can be worked out.
When you get home compare the two (home SRR vs Live SRR ) and look for the common denominator.

Just keep plugging along and let us know how things are doing.

Either of those dates or sooner would be fine with me -

BTW -

Was at ” Das Boot ” yesterday -

They have 4 tables in the main craps pit area and 1 in the ” House of Blues ” area -

ALL are 12 foot tables -

The inside from rubber to rubber ( Table end to Table end ) might be like 11’ + -

But they are definately not 10’ tables !

Sounds good.
I’ll let Amato know, and see what he can arrange for us, and how many peole we can get to commit show-up.

I have a custom 12 footer, and the table I shot on in A/C is shorter than mine, so I had to slow my shot down and with less energy.

BigBen -

I am unsure as to how many warm bodies you can scare up for this event -

Keep this in the back of your mind -

IF ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY -

I could / would have Linda enter the table -

Regards her shooting prowess - that will be worked on in the upcoming weeks -

The worst case scenario -

She does the 1K buy in -

Place betting ( 6 and 8 ) or ( 4 and 10 ) and Hardways -

Opts to pass on her shoot or takes the initiative -

Just food for thought -

Don’t know what you have lined up as the amount of players who could fill the table !

Excellent back-up plan.

Once we get a date nailed down, I’ll make a post here and also on my 2 another most frequented boards, to try and get a few more DI’s involved.
I’m sure Amato could get a couple players too, if needed.

I’ll also be ramping-up my Practice Sessions over the next few weeks, in prep for our “Junket”.

Getting ” Dicenator ” or ” Howard Rock’n'roller ” or anyone else available would be the cat’s meow -

There are a slew of ” shooters ”  out there -

I’ve lost touch with the majority of them since the demise of JPE !

And let’s not forget ” Houdini ” !

I’d love to get the word out to “Caveman” too, but I haven’t heard nor seen him in quite a long time.  Man he can sure shoot from SO!!!
I sent him an e-mail yesterday, but it got rejected as in “no mailbox exists with that addy”.
I’ll look for his phone number if I get a chance tomorrow.

I haven’t shot with “Dicenator” in about a year or maybe more, but his TR’s are looking stellar.

Hi All,

I’m trying to get our buddy Amato to set-up a Private Table up for us on Sunday 11/6, at “Das-Boot” on a 10 footer.

Start saving your dough fellas, so we can bring home da bacon!!!

The Typical “Grounds-Rules Are:

It’ll be either a $10 or $15 minimum.

In order to get the “Royal Treatment” by having our own Table & Crew, please try and BI for as close to $1K as possible (if not more).

Being that we’ll have our own Table & Full Crew for the day, naturally they’ll need to get paid by the casino.

So the casino looks for reasonable BI’s to get it done for us.

You WILL NOT have to bet on everyone either.
Bet on whom you feel comfortable with.

Sometimes if one person had a Hot-Hand, we’ll let him/her keep shooting, to take advantage of anything that’s left in his/her “tank”.

I’m asking Amato if he can bring one or two of his High-Roller clients to anchor our table.

Space will be limited, so if you’re interested please let me know.

What time do you plan to start this adventure ?

It’ll be either a $10 or $15 minimum.

Personally, I would rather prefer a $10 min table - BUT if it’s $15 - then it’s $15 !

Table & Full Crew for the day

How long do you guys generally play for at these ” Private Parties ” ?

I’m asking Amato if he can bring one or two of his High-Roller clients to anchor our table.

What’s the ” worst case scenario ” if these ” High Roller Dude(s) do not show ?

I’m interested.

What time on Sun?
Earlier would be better (like 11am) so I can get back home in time to get ready for work the next day.

Also, if I may suggest that this group not be any larger than 4-6 people.
Based on experience from playing in other private games, this will allow sufficient chances for each dice influencer to throw and get warmed up, but yet not get “cold” waiting for the dice to return.  And yet if everyone is doing reasonably well, enough time to rest mentally/physically.

We can get the table pretty much for whenever we want it, but Amato usually sets it up from ~10 or 11AM until ~6 or 8PM (it can be even later than that too).
You can come and go as you please though, BI & Color-Up anytme.

You can pretty much shoot from wherever you like.

I shoot Lefty UH from SL1.
So if I’m standing at SL2 or 3, the other folks just step back, and I slide up to SL1.
And I’ll do the same for them, no biggie.

I’m hoping to get about 6 people there, but no more than 8.
Some people will just want to bet, and NOT shoot.

If we don’t get enough players, then I guess they’d simply not rope-off the table, and anyone can BI.

I’m looking for people that know the game, and have proper Craps Etiquette, which I believe we have here.
That way we won’t have to worry about late bets, chips flying in front of a shooter, hands in the way, chips in someone’s Landing Zone / Landing Spot, etc., etc., etc..

Also, there’s no way that the table we shoot on is a 12 footer.
It’s shorter than my 12’ table.
Amato has a 10 footer, and it’s lke his.

First off -

Like I said initially -

You can count me in - Preferred position(s) - Straight either end - Fire Bet Spots 2,3 or 12,13 -

AND , IF NECESSARY -

You can count Linda in also - Linda shoots Stick Right - Shooting Position - SR1 - as long as she could ” slide into ” that spot when she shot - actual ” playing ” position would be ” SR ” -

REGARDLESS -

As I tend to dispute the 10’ vs the 12’ table lengths -

COULD YOU PLEASE ADVISE ME EXACTLY WHICH TABLE IN SHOWBOAT IS THE REFERENCED 10’ TABLE -

I NEED TO KNOW THIS SO I / WE CAN BE PROPERLY PREPARED FOR THIS EVENT WHICH I / WE ARE LOOKING SO MUCH FORWARD TO HAPPEN !

We were there last night - and all 5 tables - in my estimation - were 12 footers - but I could be mistaken -

If Amato or you could either describe the table location or its number that would be most beneficial-

Thanks in advance !

P.S. -

Linda last night declined when I asked her to break out her measuring tape again !

Can’t imagine why she do something like that !

P.P.S. -

Linda just asked me to ask you - Did YOU or AMATO actually measure this table - like SHE did ?????????????????????????????????

Hi $nakeye$,
Nope, I didn’t measure it, but like I said, my table is a 12 footer (and this table is shorter than mine, so I had to toss with much less energy on the table we shot on).
Amato’s table is a 10 footer.

As you’re walking the tiled floor that runs the length of the casino (where the Comp-Check machines are), it’s the table furthest from that area.

Amato’s on the road traveling, so I’m just waiting to get Date & Time firmed-up with him, so I can post it here.
