I just played at Parx this past Thursday & Saturday…Parx East actually. Much quieter & that’s how I like it…Saturday night you had a band playing PLUS house music at Parx & I walked back to Parx East…won both nights btw. Great regulars…3 different people tipped me last Thursday, one was $100….great people to shoot with.

Can’t believe they are going to do away with the FireBet. I’ve hit it for 4 numbers several times, 5 numbers 3 times and all 6 ponts once…all at Parx. I’ve shot dice in AC for about 15 years and for some reason or another I’ve won like crazy at Parx. I bet the pass, a place bet & a come bet…always throw in a whirl on the come-out. It wouldn’t have even occured to me to ask a dealer about them NOT having the FireBet in the future…so close to my house…sad.

What are these other prop bets some of you had referred to & do you think Parx would consider those?

I too am upset about the fact that they are d/c’ing the Fire Bets at Parx. I haven’t been back there since I’ve heard that and don’t plan to go there again, even though it’s 20 minutes away for me. I will drive to Harrah’s Chester instead, an hour away. I think I am also going to re-visit The Sugarhouse, even though my initial impression was not good. I read an article recently that mentions that Sugarhouse’s upper management is almost all women, and that they treat their employees very well. I like that, especially the part about how they treat their employees. So I think they deserve another look.

Believe it or not I haven’t gone to SugarHouse yet…maybe I"ll check it out soon!

Went to Parx East last night. The bosses confirmed it, no more fire bet…soon. They said they’ve been waiting for about 2months already but are now focused on going forward without the fire bet as of Jan 1. Only the “hop” bets will remain. Other than that, just a standard craps game.

I shot by myself for about an hour until someone showed up to play. That said, I played for about 3 hours and no more than 3 of us at any given time at the table; the other table was closed. Never saw it THAT dead during those times (6-9pm)...heading back tonite at some point.

Take care my friends… cool smile

A to C -

I have not been to Parx since they got the table games -

By your post - I am under the assumption that they have only 2 craps tables -

What are the table mins -

What are the usual hours of operation for the craps tables -

Personally, vacant tables are ideal - you get the dice back right away - no a$$holes at the tables -

You mentioned 6-9 PM - what day of the week ?

So for right now the Fire Bet is still on the layout?  I think I will haed over there one night next week. Was the table minimum $10 or $15?

The FireBet is STILL on the layout and they are STILL accepting the bet. At Parx East, during the week, it’s usually $10, but NEVER surprised to see it at $15. The min at Parx (main bldg) is typically $15 or $25. I try & stay away from Parx (the main building) due to the noise…Parx East is much quieter..

Parx has 6 tables which during the week, only 4 are ever open…expect them to be $15 or $25.
Parx East (same parking lot/different building) only has 2 tables…during the week only 1 table is usually open. $10 min (usually) during the week & the weekend is typically $15. The problem is the moment these tables get “alive” they LOVE to raise the mins…not cool….EVER.

Parx tabled are usually 24 hours…have never seen them all closed at once.
Parx East does close if it’s really dead…Last friday night they closed at 230am & that was when the table was full. Surprised they closed it.

I’ve been there Tuesday & Wednesday this week. Expecting to go tonight as well. I’ve been shooting very confidently, I have a roll & things have been going my way…I’ll be out of town till Monday after tonite so I’d really like to go tonite.

Parx East opens one of their tables at 11 am.  It is often very sparse through the early afternoon. If you like a table where you can shoot often, check it out before 1 pm any weekday

IT IS OFFICIAL…..at least as of today, no fire bet at PARX! New felt on the table and no firebet anywhere on the layout.  I have not been there for about 2 weeks, so the change must have occured somewhere during the past 2 weeks.

.
Visited Parx week before Thanksgiving.

Wednesday evening. Moderately busy. Four craps tables open. $15 minimum.
Good table crews. No problem from BOX or T G S , just a once over look.

Had several good hands and took away a Win.

Over all good vibes. Reminds me of Mississippi Gulf Coast and New Orleans area casinos when they first opened in early 1990’s
Hope the just opened the doors attitude stays.  Mississippi Gulf Coast sure has tightened up.

May return in late spring.
