I am pretty convinced that edge does not determine if you win or lose.

If craps were a fair game I believe most people would lose due to your 300 dollar buy-in vs. 250k in front of the box. Also, people are not disciplined enough to accept small wins. Ultimately you have to be lucky and with the house edge you have to be more lucky, and if you are half in the bag, play prop bets, and look for that big score…you have to be real, real lucky. But it happens.

Anybody can get lucky.

Beautiful.

House edge on 32 across is (12*1.52+10*4+10*6.67)/32=3.90%.
It is not 1.25% as previously indicated.

http://krigman.casinocitytimes.com/article/betting-$32-across-in-craps-59413

“For $32 across, ignoring pushes, prospects are 6/30 to win $9, 18/30 to win $7, and 6/30 to lose $32 So edge equals ((6/30) x $9 + (18/30) x $7 - (6/30) x $32)/$32 or -1.25 percent”

This makes sense to me… but who cares?

I’m like Snake, 777 and Superrick…  Who cares?!?!....  The house edge does not determine if you win or lose.  A good craps player knows how to win (or at least lose less) by using smart betting strategies and/or Dice Control.

The house advantage on the ten and four are 6.67%
The house advantage on the five and nine are 4.00%

You should never bet these place bets.

Going 32 across is an awful idea.

You should never bet 32 across.

With all point #‘s covered you have a 66 % chance of winning on each toss of the dice…..thats 2 out of 3 rolls.

This is a bad thing ?........If your handle was “Crapsplayer”, your comment would carry more weight.

There are no bad ideas in this game….only winners and losers.

I would say that winning a weighted average payout of $7.50 on four rolls (if you even last that long) for a total win of $30, then pushing on the fifth roll of 2, 3, 11, or 12, then losing $32 on the sixth roll of a seven is a bad thing.
