I hear this but I don’t really understand it at all. I know there are several different types of bets but I was told the easiest is “Pass the Line” or “Don’t Pass the Line”. That is ok if you understand what it is but I have no idea what people are talking about when they say that to me. Can someone explain please?

Pass the Line is probably one of the easiest things to remember when playing craps. When you do Pass the Line bet if you roll a 7 or an 11 you win. If you roll a 2, 3 or a 12 you lose.
