Very simple system to lock in a profit per shooter.  The 7 is always ur friend and the only time u get banged down is with a ricochet (throwing a point right after the come out roll)  I refuse to fight the 7 and 11 on the comeout roll!  Say it again Sam!  I refuse to fight the 7, 11 on the co roll!
Example:  CO roll…. point if five,  lay $155 against the pt.,  make a $75 DC bet and throw a $5 yo to the stickman.  (the yo protects your d/c bet,  and a 7 gives you a $20 profit…..a ricochet knocks down ur lay…...ur only time at risk)
If the next roll is 6 or 8,  take down the lay bet,  and hedge with $66 place bet.  7 out…+9-5= $4 profit.  Point made….+2-4=$2 loss
If the next roll is a 9, take down lay bet, and hedge with a $60 place bet.  7out….+15-5=$10 profit.  Point made…+9-5=$4 profit.
If the next roll is a 4, 10…take down lay bet and hedge with a $50 place bet.  7out…+25-5=$20 profit.  Point made…+15-5=$10 profit.
Of course there are hundreds of bet variations and offshoots to playing like this…..like coming the d/c for a second dont and then hedging both, just hedging with a hardway bet on the 4 and ten, etc.   Always have the odds in your favor,  I love that.  Works well at a choppy table for sure.  Money management with a stop loss and win goal must be employed!
I watched a gentleman at Harrah’s in Reno, last August,  play this with only black and green chips.  His discipline was unbreakable and his chip stack really grew over a couple of hours.
Just thought I would share in the forum.

I had a rather enjoyable discussion on the newsgroup a few years ago about Ricochet (and laying odds) with none other than John Patrick.  You might enjoy the repartee.

Yeah I had some success with a dont hedge I was working in the last few times I have played.  It’s good to have a few strats to choose from depending on your dice throws that day, table bounce, worn felt, and just overall diff in game play from casino to casino.
