anyone have any tips for playing the dark side? do you still set up inside? do you look or avoid a certin type of shooter? do you lay odds on only certain numbers? do you wait for them to hit a point before betting? do you use progression betting? thanks for the advice.

IMHO the number one thing you have to consider when playing wrong and laying odds is that you are betting more than you will win.  Hence, a positive (up as you win) progression that you find satisfactory for the front side will require more consecutive wins to show a profit on the back side and may therefore need to be modified.

I’m a newbie and I’ve been working with some kind of progression when playing the dark side.  I’ve been playing the dark side and laying odds on the 4 and 10.  I’ve been tinkering with WinCraps to find a workable progression.

i have been laying odds on the 4 & 10 and hedging with a hard four or ten. i have also been beat mentally so many times thinking that those are hard numbers to hit. they are except when your playing the Dont’s then they seem to hit and knock the wind out of you and your stack.

Increase odds after 3 PL wins in a row.

Hedge with hard 4/10.

Have 1 DC # up ( preferably 2 ).

If shooter hits 3 of your numbers, get off him.

If trouble remembering odds/payoffs, lay odds in increments of 6 dollars, no matter the number.

Make sure buy in supports odds layed.

Make DC bets after 5 rolls.
