partly related to my post below (electronic craps machine).

I was wondering if anyone knew of a craps calculator that can calculate whether a series of rolls is random or not.  Not just whether the amount of times a certain number pops up over a certain number of rolls is random, but also the sequence of numbers, such as the probability that a low percentage point hits several times in a row, etc.

To put it simply, I want a calculator that lets me input the sequence of all the numbers rolled in one night and I want it to tell me how statistically likely those sequence of numbers came up randomly.

Probably not possible, but was wondering anyway.

What you seek is a chi-square statistic, which gives the probability that a sample with an observed distribution could be obtained by random chance from a population with a known (or postulated) theoretical distribution.  I believe Excel has such a function, but I have never used it nor do I know how to off hand.

WinCraps has the ability I think your looking for.  First you enter and record the rolls then on the roll totals screen you would be able to see the probability of the numbers that should have been rolled compared to the actual rolls.

Hope that helps.
