Is there anybody who’s going to be in the Resorts AC area this coming Friday, by any chance?  There’s a possibility that I might go.

Resorts AC area this coming Friday

Just so you aren’t surprised, but the pit boss has told us that the conversion of one of the two tables to $50 minimum around 1 or 2 o’clock would be a fairly standard practice with the warmer weather. The player involved is apparently quite well liked.
I won’t be making it this week. Maybe a little farther along.

one of the two tables

Really?  Only two tables?  I thought I read somewhere that they had four.  I also heard through the grapevine that they are hiring craps dealers.  Maybe they want to have more games open?

I haven’t been there since the renovation… how is it these days?

They have four tables, but just two are open during the day on Fridays. Not sure whether volume warrants another whole crew.
Over all, it’s not bad at all. The employees are much more friendly than they used to be, although Gomes’s death seemed to take some wind out of their sails. For food, we’ve just stick with Gallagher’s (Burger Bar opens at noon on Fridays) and the Noodle Place, which had a $14.95 or $15.95 lobster special the last time we were there. Scrumptious. Their Web page has very good details.

Well… Resorts’ two craps tables were a ghost town from 12pm - 5 pm when I was there.  I wasn’t really impressed with the “renovation” either.  I did personally witness at least one craps dealer audition, and he was quite good… but not on the game very long after he proved that he could deal.  He said he had worked at Foxwoods or something…

I ended up going to Bally’s and winning a grand total of $1.
