my bankroll is only $100. I usually play on a $5 table. Where I play on the weekends all the tables are raised to $10. i like to play the inside but i’m afraid at a $10 table i would not last long with my bankroll. should i just play the 6-8? does anyone else have another suggestion?
I usually only have a bankroll of 100 or 120 and where i play they always have 5 tables(potowatami in milwaukee),,in indiana on the weekend they usually raise all tables to 10 only what i would do if i played there was use a progreession regression strategy that way ur putting up money but pulling off small profits, its hard to play at a 10 table with a small bankroll, but luck and good rolls happen so u just have to go for it sometimes. also in vegas they have a few places that have 1 dollar and three dollar craps, which is good if u love the game and also u can practice and not hurt your wallet im goin to go back in march. one more thing theres a bersion of craps called crapless craps that im interested in playing,,, they have it in vegas at the stratosphere and they also have the game in tunica mississippi so far i dont think its anywhere else in the country
you should play the six and eight try to pess once and then pull the bet down until u have a small profit then either take ur winnings or play the way ud normally play or press twice and pull it just watch the shooter and see what hes hitting. if u play 12 on both six and eight thats 24 two hits bring back your 24 a third hit and u have 12 profit so if u press after the third hit (provided the shooter hasnt sevend out) u give a full press after every other hit or u can press one unit after every other hit that way u make profit evrytime he hits 6 or 8 if u feel the seven is coming u either drop to one unit each or pull the bets off, you can place them without making a pass line or odds bet if youre not shooting, when ur the shooter u have to at least make a passline bet
Your bankroll has a hufe affect on how you should bet at the craps tables. Also, how you prefer to bet at the craps tables has a huge affect on what your bankroll should be. For example, if i like to bet 44 inside, and that is my average consistent bet, then i should multiply that by 10. Whatever the result is, is how much you should bring to the table for a session. The theory is that 1 in 10 shooters will have a good roll. Therefore, if i like to bet 44 inside and the fire for a dollar, then i should bring 450 dollars to the table as a minimum. This way i never wind up playing with scared money. Now, if your bankroll is limited to 200 or even 100. Then i would definately recommend staying at a 5 dollar minimum table. With a 100 dollar bankroll, I would place the six and 8 only. Stay away from prop bets, come bets, dont bets, and even pass line bets. And especially the field. Money is to be made with place bets. Definately get your initial investment back before pressing. Even though you are starting with a weak bankroll, remember once you have your initial investment back, then you can press your bets. If the roll gets hot, start placing the 5 and 9 or 4 and 10, and then press your bets. good luck.
my bank roll as of late has been as little as 40 buck, course I just like being in a casino, would like to have money
but hey you play with the hand your dealt right?. betting strategy is everything in these cases. Stick to inside numbers.
Myself i place 6’s and 8’s and just wait to practice my toss. ive lasted for hours this way on 40 bucks, and in some rare
cases even came up a little. but truth be told if you go to a casino with less than 500 600, you can plan on loosing most
of it, unless your with people that can throw or you just get lucky.
Reason:1 you (or atleast from who ive seen play) dont know what to bet in instances where you have a limited bankroll.
— I’ve seen people bring in 200 bucks and bet all of the box numbers every roll, then leave like 3 rolls later.
For this, here is the thread for you. Most of the time excitement and gut feelings tend to cause a person make
terrible decisions.
Reason:2 odds are against you all the way.
— The fine folks at Golden Touch say that mathematically you have to have a certain amount of money to over come the
losses you will encounter throughout the night. They’re pros so their estimates are out of most of our reaches. I cant
remember exactly what the figures are but its something like 10 times the amount of money you have on the table each
hand. They claim it’s a battle tested method, and I might be off a bit it — it might be more I cant remember. so essentially
if you have 30 bucks, conservatively you need atleast 300 of a bank roll conservatively. But dont quote me on that, get the
book its worth the money anyway.

Make your bankroll $110 single odds. This will give you enough to cover 10 shooters . Wait until a shooter gets a HIT ,(makes his point or throws a natural before betting on shooter)alway use progressive increases when winning on DO PASS . CAREERWISE Unless you INCREASE (50%) y our winning DO PASS bets ALL you will ever win(careerwise) is a TRIP BACK TO THE CASINO , usually on YOUR MONEY.
The dice are smarter than you or i Refrain from guessing which numbers will win . Let the rolls of the dice tell you what number/numbers to wager on. Fact-any bet you care to make on dice able can be won, no ONCE but TWICE and more but this does not mean you are making smart bets .
Fact 2. The DO PASS 6 & 8 play has broke MORE crapshooter than ALL THE OTHER BETS ON A DICE TABLE COMBINED !
Professionals use stop loss moves (and 100% winning hedge bets) to get the money .
Regardless of what you do or want to do it helps to have a COACH , dice is no different , -for a few bucks you can get one , a player that has been at the dice tables for 66 years , http://www.diceprofession.com
If you only have a Small bankroll $-$100 i suggest you play the BACKSIDE , FLAT BETS, here again to be successful you need to USE professional STOP LOSS MOVES for dont pass play . There is a number one RULE for playing backside games(dont pass) unless you know and USE this number one rule then careerwise it will be FATAL.
I have seen (66 years) a lot of GOOD backside (dont pass ) players , very good , eventually they all FAIL for this olne reason .
I remember one dont player who would lay $400 no 4 and $400 no 10 then proceed laying full odds except on the 6 & 8 .
If you pick your chip up, bet less , or call no action on a dont pass 6 or 8 , then the HOUSE , i said the HOUSE WILL IN TIME
CUT YOU A BRAND NEW THREE PIECE SET NEAR THE POCKETS.
iF YOU DO NT LIKE 6 OR 8 (eXAMPLE) THEN MAKE IT A 100% WINNING WAGER -SAY $250 THE ROLL IS A 6, YOU THEN PLACE BET SAME 6 FOR S240
If you would like more about 100% winning wagers , PROFESSIONAL stop loss moves ( gets he money) try http://www.diceprofession.com Marie is the Webmaster -new content eac month

With a short bankroll like that, especially at a $10 table, you may wish to stick to minimum pass-line bets. That way you only risk $10 at a time. If you place the 6 and 8, you’re putting almost 1/4 of your bankroll out there right off the bat. Even just betting $10 pass, you have about a 1 in 5 chance of busting before two hours. At a $5 table, you could play for a couple of hours with little chance of busting. At a $5 table, you could play pass and take single odds with about the same chance of busting as just playing the pass at the $10 table; that way, you would be exposing only your $5 flat bet to the house advantage and the added variance of the odds bets does not carry any house advantage.
Here’s another possible approach, for either a $5 or $10 table: start out betting the minimum on the pass line and not taking odds. If you get a couple of units up, use it to take odds, i.e. “finance” your odds bets with flat-bet winnings.
My local casino had gone to $10 minimum the last time I was there; I generally play with $200, and I would bet $5 on the pass and then take single odds, progressing to double or up to 3, 4, 5X if I was winning. $10 flat means twice the expected loss.

Of my four DICE BOOKS -FANTASTIC DICE-THE DO PASSDONT PASS DICE BIBLE -THE DICE BRICKWALL GRAVEYARD(NEAR SEARCHLIGHT , NEVADA- the DICE BRICKWALL GRAVEYARD outsell the other 3 -20to1!!
In this graveyard the largest HEADSTONES are those of the DO PASS 6&8 (including those who fail to give their gambling money a fair gamble. The seconds largest HEADSTONES are the DO PASS ACROSS THE BOARD players.
There is a HUGE difference between a PROFESSIONAL Dice player (career winners)a DEALER or EXPERIENCED(career losers) Dice player.
THERE ARE ONLY A FEW PROFESSIONAL DICE PLAYERS IN THE ENTIRE WORLD , THE ENSTEIN OF DICE WAS ONE OF THEM.
HE WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO PLAYED DO PASS AND DONT PASS . PROFESSIONAL DICE PLAYERS ( THE ONES I HAVE KNOWN)
ARE ALL DONT PASS PLAYERS !! HOWEVER UNLESS YOU KNOW THE NUMBER ONE RULE FOR PLAYING DONT PASS(INCLUDING THE STOP LOSS MOVES) THEN CAREERWISE—IT WILL BE FATAL !!!
Many near east players like to place their DONT PASS wager AFTER the come out roll(DC)
Same STAR OF DAVID ?! ( 7/11) for 66 years now , i have never get anywhere with that cagey move .
Setting the dice? well the biggest roll i ever saw ($800.000) the shooter rattled the dice and shot !
There may be stackers etc ace dice PITCHERS- but all i have ever seen the next day is players coming out the CASINO EXIT-
POCKET TURNED INSIDE OUT.(What happened to the ace pitcher) DICE SPINNERS -THAT IS A DIFFERENT STORY-!! I think i ran across that when i started work for Bugsy Seigel (Flamingo Hotel) Bugsy always sat in a corner table with his girl friend FACING THE DOOR ! I went to his table many times , he loved to listen to Pearl Bailey and watch Costello lose $100 chips.

Flat bet for a few turns (maybe 20: 20x$5=$100) pocket profits as you get them. If you are down after 20 turns then bet $10 for the next 20 turns or until you have a profit.
If this doesn’t suit you. I would like to recommend that you play less often with more money and use a wagering system that recuperates losses.
You might want to try the oscar’s grind progression on the pass line.
Remember that a progression can be played over several sessions. If you have raised your bet to $20 and lost then you can continue with that level when you play again.

You do know you are recommending a horrible strategy for a limited bankroll? Why would you recommend someone to stay away from come, pass, don’t come and don’t pass when these beta have the lowest house edge?
If he plays the pass line, his bankroll would last him a lot longer, especially if he bets with a 5 count.

It’s not all about house edge, however. The difference between placing the 6/8 and the line bets is very small. The line bets, being even money, have less variance, which will tend to preserve a bankroll, large or small. OTOH, if one comes to the table with $100 and wins $50, from then on it’s no different from coming to the table at that point with $150. There’s no “cosmic rubber band” pulling him/her back toward expectation. I certainly wouldn’t start placing the outside four numbers, though; now you’re paying twice to more than four times the “tax” for those bets.
One approach would be to play the pass line and start taking single odds on points if you get ahead.

Agree completely. 6 and 8 are not bad at 1.2 percent house edge, it is the 5, 9, 4, 10 that are throw away. Especially since passline, and in particular don’t pass with odds gets down to .3% very quickly.

6/8 1.52%
In order to get down to .3% overall edge, you have to be taking 3, 4, 5X odds, which is not advisable on a small bankroll—too high a “risk of ruin”, at least for most people. That’s why I suggested taking odds only if one gets ahead a bit. Taking or laying odds adds considerable volatility while not affecting the ev, which is always -1.4% of the line bet.

Just for fun, I ran some simulations based on $100 bankroll, $5 pass line bets, $50 win goal, starting with no odds, then single, double and finally 3, 4, 5X odds. I ran 20,000 sessions for each, with a limit of 200 rolls (resolving any outstanding bet), so about 2 hours’ play. The bust rates:
no odds: 1%
single odds: 20%
double odds: 33%
3, 4, 5X odds: 40%
The rates of reaching the $50 win goal:
no odds: 19%
single odds: 47%
double odds: 58%
3, 4, 5X odds; 60%
increases bust rate for $100 bankroll
increases chances of reaching $50 win goal
shortens average session for the above two reasons
decreases expected loss very slightly, because you don’t resolve as many bets
Each player has to find his/her own “comfort zone”, but this can be done if one understands how craps works, not just the edge, but the range of possible outcomes.

One of the things that has always been attractive to me about playing craps with a limited bankroll is the ability to quickly multiply money, or be done and have the “frustration” be over quickly. Granted, It’s been quite some time since my bankroll was $100, but when it was I would have something else to do for the rest of the evening on the instance that I lost it all quick.
It really depends on what your overall goal is: profit or time at the table- typically, the best plan is to make the bets that have the lowest house edge (pass+full odds, place 6/8) and build up from there. Its certainly a gut-wrenching feeling to have most of your money in play at once.
If you’re on a $10 table with 5x odds you can do it easily
$10 pass +$50 odds + $12 each on 6/8 and you’re at $84 out of your $100.
In this situation, I actually suggest pulling the 6/8 down when you hit it, instead of the instinct that some have to press their bets additional units. This strategy will certainly keep you at the table longer, and allow you to stick around for another roll of the dice if you do seven out quickly.
