i have been trying to set the dice and throw.  i’m farrrrr from being any good but i try.  today i was shooting and the box man kept nagging me to make sure both dice hit the back wall.  it was really getting me ticked because other people were not hitting the back wall with both dice and he didn’t say a word to them about it.
what really gets me though is when a 7 comes up and it’s automatic 7out whether it hits the back or not with either dice.
we even had one roll today where the dice bounced up and landed on a guys arm and then slowly rolled off the arm back into the table and it was 7 out.  what a bunch of bull!

Gemgo,

in advance i apologize for the size of the post skim it or read it in its entirety, but it has good info and resourses

Ill address you first as a dice setter.
Welcome to the club of dice setters. There is allot to dice setting than what you may think. Have you picked
up any books or videos? if so which ones. If your not hitting the back wall never mind the box man, your not
controlling dice right. The dice hitting the back wall is imperative to being a good shooter. Golden touch craps
(google it) has a good book called Golden touch craps<—-. these folks were subject of one of the episodes of
Breaking Vegas: the Dominator. they are kinda the face of Dice setting right now, although they are not necessarily
the only authority. They have a video by the same name, but they charge a grip of money, but you may be able to
split the money with a friend or get it by other means. They explain most clearly how to be a confident
knowledgeable shooter, not just a person that sets and launches.A more attainable mean to learn good dice setting,
is actually a member on this forum. From what I can see he’s a good shooter and has made the best free video tutorials
that I have seen so far. He too has learned from Golden touch, and combines their skill sets with his own betting strategy
and nuances which proves to me hes not just a robot spewing Golden touch like its the dice setting bible. I would
recommend starting with him first to get an idea of whats up, his name or his alias is Ironwig heres a link to his
videos http://www.youtube.com/user/Ironwig.

One last bit of advice from one learning dice setter to another is to buy or build a practice table to learn. I built my
own, it was cheap, the most expensive part is the alligator “rubber” back which is like 40 bucks for 6 ft.

Now as a pissed off customer of a casino.
welcome to the club of pissed off customer of a casino club. If you decide to pick up the dice setting thing, you will
notice blatant favoritism for random rollers. Heres how i sense things are between dealers and controlled shooters.
Dealers view controlled shooters kinda like how a scientist views a psychic. they think its a waste of time and has no
possible bearing on the outcome of the dice. This comes from a misunderstanding that dice setters think they can
predict or force the desired outcome. this is not true, dice setting is there to avoid sevens thats it! but most dealers
don’t understand that. so they criticize taunt, harass, the stick man might stick his stick in front of your shot path(fishing), and
other such shenanigans. But heres is your problem, you have to hit the back wall its a rule of the game, this rule is set in order
to stop dice sliding(Google it). It takes control to set and toss without popping it off the table, I know from experience. but
you have to do it.

Heres the trick that will save you irritation. bet for the dealers as soon as you get the dice in your hand. make a two way hardway
bet or just put a buck on the pass line for the dealers. they win or loose and their bet is off the table, bet for them again. this will
almost certainly stop your problems. If it doesn’t stop your problems leave the table, its not worth staying at a hostile table.
I found a casino after a long process of trial and error, where I don’t have to worry about dealer problems. Some of them even
believe in setting. If your wondering the casino is Cal Neva in Reno NV. one of the best if not the best craps table in Reno.

again sorry for the length of the post but hey I have allot to say so f it.
Good skill,
Filthy
