I must reiterate that my horse handicapping skills consist entirely of being able to spell handycaping right half the time. My poker playing skills are a little better, or so I claim, so I have to wonder if the concept of "pot odds" carries over to the ponies. I did not look at the videos, but if, after making my selection in a race, I noticed my pick was the heavy betting favorite (and therefore not going to pay very well) I would sit (and have sat) out that race.
