Good idea Liman, letting the money sit. "Won" money needs to "cure" between casino trips, lest it becomes very "slippery". It also helps, if you "piss-away" some of it, on something frivolous, like overdue bills, a good time, or something like that. I think they got this joint replacement thing, "down" pretty good these days, so you won't have any problems, and you'll be able to spend some "quality time" with your fresh, new money.
Not at all Ma'am. Liman seams like a "real" enough guy. Gives good trip reports, with corroborating photos, owns-up to some nasty losses, and I find him, for the most part, to be a believable guy. I'd have to say, he was about due. I always like to see the player win, he couldn't get out of there with enough to satisfy me. Liman has "payed his dues, so I'm almost as pleased as he is, with his winner. Glad to see that "monkey" off his back.
yeah, I definitely needed a good win. , on a positive note, we saved thousands on free rooms and food comps this year, not playing for them, but never refusing them.
as is my MO, tradition, I will post some great Post operative shots of my knee and the staples. the surgical unit told me to write down any questions I might have in the morning, since I couldn't think of anything off the top of my head when they called today(surgery is 8am tomorrow) and I came up with 2 very important questions. 1.can I choose the nurse to sponge bath me 2. when can I get back to the craps table. see you guys on the other side
They refused to give me a piece of my bone I wanted to spin a pen on my lathe Anyway The anesthesia has worn off and the pain is off the wall insane This shit sucks
My wife said to me as soon as I'm moving ok and I get permission to fly she wants to take me to vegas I won't argue
That will teach you to eat NY style pizza. That cardboard & ketchup isn't good for you. At least you won't have to suffer from watching the Jesters or Gnats lose for a few days. Hope the procedure is a resounding success and you have a quick & complete recovery.
Make sure your doc gives you the card you need to give to the airport mafia stating you have a joint replacement so they don't mistake you for a terrorist. Hang in there Liman, you'll be feeling much better in a little while.
that sucks. I did the same (right) knee a couple yrs ago, bitched to the doc I wanted to go home same day but he kept me overnight. I didn't have much pain, never used any of the percocets. L, get a device that you wrap around the knee that circulates ice water - that did me a world of good. Also, even if painful, try your best to start moving the joint, you can't do too much with the movement.
Sorry about the pain L......do what the docs tell you to do......take those pills......that's what they are for. 777
I think Liman is right....ever since the opiod crisis, it seems like doctors are less than thrilling to prescribe pain killers. I would assume KKJ would know firsthand if there is pressure on doctors these days to cut back and not to prescribe unless it's really, really needed...and even then, limit dosage. 13 years ago they gave me all I wanted or needed...and I didn't need them when I went thru chemo. Last time I had a pain issue...about 2 years ago, I felt like I was getting the stink eye in asking for pain meds. They gave me like 6!! Wtf?
My memory is bad, I thought that maybe the wife picked that up for me, but I guess you get it with the surgery. For me, constant ice was the best thing for the pain. If its any consolation, you are going to feel MUCH better with the new joint.
Just out of curiosity. Did they mention how painful this procedure was, when you were doing all that pre-op stuff?
This is Barney The LID says he always feels muchest better with both new and old joints. I am sure Mr Lemon will also.
